I hated this place. I chose it because it seemed cheap, but I came to regret it very soon. My room was so small I could barely swing my suitcase; it also had only one plug socket, was badly insulated from the cold outside and the noise within. The bathroom, though reserved to me, was in the corridor.
Worst of all, the staff were unbelievably rude. One of them actually got into an unholy row with me when I complained that nobody had bothered to change my towels.
Personal cheques are not accepted, they charge your credit card the moment you make the booking and as for getting your money back, you may as well forget it.
Personal visitors not allowed after 11 pm.
Breakfast was insipid, ended early and the breakfast room was crowded.
Avoid like the plague.

I was hosted here last year for a week.
Friendly staff, clean, good breakfast, nice rooms, cheap.
Has 2 Tube stations: Queensway and Bayswatar, Just 2 stops from Oxford Street. It is a busy and safe place until midnight, with a lot of markets and shops open full time.
