Princes Fish & Chips

I called these recently to place an order over the phone so we wouldn't have to wait around and they said they wouldn't take an order over the phone - we would just have to order when we we got there an wait. Needless to say, I went elsewhere. Best avoided.

Sorry to say but this is a very tired fish and chip shop. It does get busy on Fridays but that is only because there is no other chippie in the vacinity. If you order large chips, you will get a portion that is a standard size at other places. They should take down the banner outside saying it was the f+c shop of the year in 2006 or something like that as it is misleading. The f+chips are only average. Sorry – please someone take over this place and restore it back to life.

Located in the Market Square of Princes Risborough this place seems to be very popular, especially at weekends. There is car parking outside, but it can get sparse when they are busy. They have a big long stainless steel counter as you enter and the place generally seems to be very clean. Menu choice is good and much of the food is cooked to order. I ordered chicken once and was told it would take 4 minutes to cook and sure enough, 4 minutes later it was ready, which kind of adds a professional touch to the overall service in my opinion. Food is also very good and not to greasy.
