Simply Blues Restaurant, Hornchurch, London

Simply Blues is an American style diner which was recommended to us by a friend. We ate on Friday night, didn’t book, it was pretty busy and staff were attentive.
Our meal was interrupted twice to turn the lights off and sing happy birthday to people in the restaurant which seems fun for groups/kids but not so great when you’re in the middle of a conversation.
We were really disappointed with the food, the nachos were bland and seemed to be microwaved. Mains were reasonably sized but my burger was burnt and all the ingredients seemed to be poor quality and tasteless. Considering the price we won’t be going back any time soon!

Not very good food in my opinion, a little bit plain and tastless, price is therefore quite high for what it is, staff are fine if a little bored looking, there are much better places to go, Tarrantino’s nearby or even the local weathspoons offers better value

Me and my fiance went to simply blues for valentine’s day. The food was very bland and we could tell that the food was not cooked fresh. The ribs in bbq sauce were from lidl! The salad was off and mouldy. It wasnt a very good experience at all. We think that tgi friday’s is better to go to. You expect alot more for the price you pay.

A nice place for birthday celebration a warm and friendly atomosphere. However i would not go their for a normal occasion as it is quite dear. An idea of prices is £6 for a cocktail with not a lot of alcohole in. Mains are £14 upwards. However you do get large portions and the staff go out of the way to help you. I would book at the weekend as they do get fairly busy.

This is a one off spectacular restaurant based in the heart of Hornchurch. It is so friendly here and offers such a great range of quality food and cocktails. It is themed like am American Diner but it is slightly different to the ones you may normally visit as in it is privately run and a unique little place. It has a great atmosphere and they put on great birthday parties on request. The food is a little pricy but this is to be expected of this little diner.
