Tired decor, staff that wouldnt know decent customer service if they tripped over it and lousy unimaginative unappetising food. You would have to pay me to eat there.

If you want a miserable time, miserable food and a restaurant that looks like it hasn’t seen a lick of paint since Harsha of Kannauj ruled the Ganges then go here.

It definately isnt the worst Indian food restaurant I’ve ever been to, however it is extremely overpriced compared to other better food places in Truro. The staff were a bit rude considering how much money we had spent and the service was slow, they also grumbled about accommodating such a large group even though they had accepted our booking. They also cleared the table when it was clear people hadn’t finished eating giving the impression they were rushing us to leave. The tables are horribly close together so it felt like we couldn’t really have a conversation and I wasn’t very impressed with the overall layout of the restaurant. The food portions were huge which was a plus but realistically I doubt I’d book to eat there again.

I have eaten at EVERY curry house in Truro and the surrounding areas and I disagree with anyone who claims this is the best. It's okay. I found the poppadoms to be soggy, the curries seemed to taste the same despite being different dishes and the ingredients not that fresh. The whole place seemed a bit tired. If you're after a quick madras to swill down with a cobra I'm sure this will do the trick, if you expect more look elsewhere.

My favourite Indian in Truro without doubt. This is an old fashioned, garish and intimate, dingy and authentic Indian which makes a change from the several ultra modern Indians Truro now has. The family service is excellent and they do takeaway wich is always prompt. The food is amazing, very good quality and fresh. Good selection too and a few different dishes on offer. Not cheapest place but definitely best Indian in town.

The Ganges is a good Indian restaurant that is probably the best in Truro. The staff are friendly and offer good advice on anything you wish to try but have not had before. The menu is wide and varied, offering their slant on Great Britain’s favourite cuisine. If your particular weapon of bum destruction is not catered for then they will create your dish especially for you. Like most Indian restaurants they offer a variety of beverages both alcoholic and non alcoholic from wines to lagers. The price of their food is reasonable and you always from my own personal experience always walk away feeling satisfied with what you have paid for.
