Hornchurch Lesiure Centre

For a council run lesiure centre it is very good since its refurbishment. They have a full size swimming pool which is clean but very cold and only open at certains of the day due to swimming classes. They have facilities for tennis, badminton and squash. They have a wide varitiy of gym equipment and separate area for floor activities. The exercise classes are varied and run at convient times. They have a separate spa area which is lovely to relax. You can either access this gym as pay as you go or join at a monthly price but with know contract.

I love this leisure centre, especially since it has been refurbished. Their gym is very well equipt and they have loads of qualified staff. The swimming pool is lovely as it always guarded by lifeguards.Gym membership is quite exensive but you will also be able to use central park in Harold Hill. They have loads of other facilitys including badminton and table tennis. And they have some great instructed classes which are really cheap and cheerful!!

It’s been a while since I have been to here but the last time I found the whole centre to be a great place. The prices are as you would expect (not the cheapest but not the most expensive). there is a full size swimming pool with diving boards. Check to see what times they section off part of the pool for 'swimmers’ as opposed to the kids etc.
the gym is as good as any I have seen with lots of equipment so not too much standing around waiting for the bech press etc. There are also qualified insrructors on hand to ensure you get the most out of your time.
