Review of Rocket House Cafe from 7 September 2009

Ate there today and really enjoyed the location and meal. I can imagine in the main holiday season it will be manic, but first weekend in September it was easy to get a table on the balcony overlooking Cromer beach. The staff smiled and best of all they cleared the finished tables before customers had to ask. The food was well priced and tasted fresh. Recommend the calamari.

Review of Rocket House Cafe from 5 June 2009

Lovely cafe with fantastic views. The Rocket House cafe is above the Henry Blogg lifeboat museum (well worth a visit and free too, but do make a donation!) and is accessible by stairs or lift both from the seafront and the cliff top.

The cafe is light and airy and there’s a variety of seating - lots of bistro style tables and chairs, some big comfy sofas next to picture windows with sea views, and more tables on a balcony overlooking the beach.

The food is very good - lots of salads and sandwiches using fresh local produce (you can’t beat a fresh Cromer crab!), as well as wonderful homemade soup. it’s a little more pricey than some of the cafes in town, but worth it for the views.

A great place for a relaxing coffee, or lunch with friends and family.

Review of Rocket House Cafe from 21 January 2009

Lovely place, food, scenery and service. It is ideal for families with lots of space for buggies, and good changing facilities. It is worth going just for the view, and the food is really nice and it has a more interesting menu to other cafes in the town.

Review of Rocket House Cafe from 19 November 2008

A really welcome addition to the Cromer seafront, Rocket House Cafe is located above the lifeboat museum. Head down to the pier and along the seafront to the east. Can’t miss it.
It’s hard to think of a more comforting thing to do on a stormy autumn day than sit up in the restaurant on their chic leather sofas, sipping hot chocolate as the wind whips up the waves. Food’s great too, with decent portions and great service from what appears to be the entire sixth form of Cromer high school.
If the view does begin to bore, nip downstairs to the lifeboat museum. And don’t forget to make a donation…

Review of Rocket House Cafe from 18 November 2008

The Rocket House Cafe is situated above the Henry Blogg Museum on the seafront. It comprises a large dining hall with some outdoor dining space all of which overlook the sea and sand.
At first glance you might be forgiven to think it’s like a work’s canteen, but as you enter and go to choose your table and location you become aware of the range of seating possibilities, do you just want to relax with a latte on the sofas, or sit outside on the balcony, or inside with a sea view, or dine with a view of paintings and artwork from local artists?
Tables are kept clean and have always had a small floral table decorations on them. In the summer evenings, tables are adorned with candlelight creating a warm cosiness for enjoying the restaurant menu.
All staff are polite, friendly, and smartly dressed. Orders are brought to the table and menus include locally sourced goods such as seafood and crab, the speciality of the area.
Some of the prices may be a little above the usual for the town, but it’s a lovely comfortable and interesting environment in which to pop into for a coffee or have a meal, so I would reccommend it as everyone I’ve taken there, have enjoyed their food and thought the service was good.
The building houses the lift from prommenade to street level and toilets so the Rocket Cafe is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
