The food here is great. I've been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed.
The staff are nice and the place is never loud or overcrowded (like a few places I have been to) and the atmosphere is warming and friendly.

I have been eating here for over 20 years. The service is very friendly and efficient. Some of the dishes are obviously a little mix and match (same sauce different meat / fish, possiblbly because the menu is too big.
The bruscetta is excellent, the pizza is easily the best in the south west (the cappricossa?? is the best I have tasted outside Rome) and the desserts, well just make absolutely sure you leave enough room.
Make sure you book early as it is regularly full. Enjoy

This is the best Italian restaurant in Plymouth. The food is always lovely, everything is cooked fresh, and the staff are courtious and friendly.

Also, the atmosphere is very relaxed and I am never made to feel as though I have to rush through each course, something that often happens in other restaurants.

My partner and I prefer Positanos to other well established restaurants in Plymouth. We feel that even though it is a little pricey, it is well worth every penny. We always leave a generous tip as we are so happy with the food and the service provided.

Unassuming Italian, Well established much loved and good fun. No one complains about the mid quality food. Best of the local bunch. Book to avoid dissappointment even some lunchtimes.

This is comfortable the best Italian restaurant in Plymouth. It is situated at the top of town with plenty of parking nearby. Positanos has been established here for some considerable time. The restaurant is always busy and you are advised to book well in advance. Although on the expensive side, you will see why when you eat here. The food is excellent, with a great variety to suit all tastes. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. A great dining experience!

Gorgeous restaurant and really delicious Italian meals. So much choice and everything freshly cooked. We’ve eaten here many times over the years and would recommend it to anyone. Friendly too, as others have said.

Superb menu, very difficult to choose from the extensive range of freshly cooked, sumptuous foods on offer.
Excellent range of wines too with half bottles available if desired.
The staff are very friendy and always provide a tip top service. Parking too is nearby with a Pay and Display situated at the rear of the restaurant.

The ambience is lovely and they cater well for you where you are there for a romantic meal for two or as a big noisy party of people.

The food is gorgeous, the bruchetta the best outside Italy! The puddings too are really scrummy and it really is very difficult to decide what to have.

The staff are brilliant and the owner usually comes over and has a chat with you.

Parking is easy with a Pay and Display carpark just behind the restaurant.
