TK Maxx

I called in here yesterday for (I think) the first time. I think I'd walked straight past before because I hadn't noticed the escalator going down to the store. It was much bigger than I'd expected and with a huge clothing range for all the family. The prices were a bit higher than I'd expected (I vaguely remember the one in Cardiff being a cheap place to buy clothes) but there was certainly lots of choice. I was surprised to see a very large homewares department - everything from soft furnishings to ornaments. Plenty of gifts too - and many very reasonably priced things you might not see elsewhere. Worth a look, I would say!

One of the first places i look when i need new clothes. Always have amazing deals and massive discounts. Dont know why anyone shops on the high street when they can get clothes here for at least half the price.

Great shop! I dont know how many times i have visited this shop and found a super amazing bargan.
They have everything from tops to dresses even to ski wear! Only downfall is that they really pack the rails or clothes, its hard to move and view clothes sometimes but amazing stuff!

can find pretty much anything here and the searching is good fun most of the time

i love tk maxx for three reasons - cool t-shirts at bargain basement prices, underwear, and socks!

however, there are some things that infuriate me…insane queues that snake around the store - not only does it take forever to pay for the kitcsh little star wars tee you found, but your browsing gets interruted by other shoppers jostling for position waiting for the tills.

oh, and most of the customers have no idea about the principles of traversing an escalator…for the final time, WALK ON THE LEFT, STAND ON THE RIGHT!!!

This is the biggest free for all in Glasgow. It is not the place to run into if you have five minutes before your bus or train. In order to find a bargain you’ll have to trawl through the luminous green snoods and yellow pink and green shell suits. However I would challenge anybody to not find at least one item that they think looks quite good at a reasonable price.
The staff aren’t all that friendly but it isn’t a very specific place to shop. They put items of clothing together and arrange them in size but thats where the similarity stops. The colours clash but it adds to the fun

Well TK’s is legendary! Where else could you pick up a few pieces of McQ along with D&G and some other suspects.
It really depends when you go in, through the week is best as I have had to wait 20 mins to buy stuff at weekends.
Yes sometimes you go in and it is like a jumble sale and smaller sizes seem to be getting scarce.
The trick is to go in with an open mind and you never know what you will find and remember to take your own carriers as they charge for theirs.

I USED TO LOVE TK MAXX AN USED TO GO ALL THE TIME ALWAYS GREAT ITEMS AND EVEN BETTER PRICES BUT I HAVENT BEEN GOING MUCH LATELY AS ALL I SEE NOW IS CRAP AND ITS TO MUCH TO GO SEARCHING THROUGH ALL THE HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF RAILS AND THE CLOTHES ARE THAT GREAT ANYMORE I REMEMBER GETTING LOVELY DKNY JEANS FOR LIKE £3 THEY WERE GREAT BUT NOW THEY WOULD BE ABOUT £30-40 AND PROB ONLY BIG SIZES.

for this gal this is the place to shop! you can get all sorts of goodies in this shop! for a good price! good quality clothes and more! What more could a gal ask for????

This is pretty much the best shop in the world, you can pick up any kind of fashion for a budget price. Quite simply would not buy underwear anywhere else.
Also a weekend away would not be complete without a pair of novelty trousers from TK Maxx

How many stars? Well I would give it 6 if I could. I get a buzz from the moment the escalator starts its descent into my perfect shopping destination. Every time you go in there is something different to check out. And every time you can spot a bargain. I am particularly fond of kitchenware, body and bath and sweeties sections, as you can get more unusual stuff and it is easier to browse. However I am also partial to homewares, shoes and even the clothes rails on occasion, although these can be pretty hard going. The thrill of the chase is what keeps me going.

Every day is a different day in tk maxx! It sells a very wide range of good quality and designer clothes, footwear, toys and household goods at cheap prices, well beow the recommended retail price. Discounts are typically 20 - 30% off the RRP but sometimes you will discover items that are 50 - 60% off their usual price.

Admittedly some stock is from past seasons, and other stock are 'seconds’ or slightly imperfect, but the savings outweigh these minor blips. That is part of the beauty of the shop!

You really have to check every day as new items seem to arrive all the time. The unpredicatibility is part of the fun - you’ll never know what you might find there!
