My comment refers only to the garden centre, as the shop in Forres closed down some time ago. It is well stocked and well presented. I’ve always found the staff most obliging, being prepared to spend that little bit of extra time, or to improvise to make sure the customer is satisfied. Up to the time of my last visit, there was nothing like the same range of hardware that the shop used to hold, but I judge the garden centre on its own merit.

Great coffeeshop and the home made soups are to die for! Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent shopping too!

Mackenzie & Cruickshanks is a lovely Garden centre and gift shop especially at Christmas time.

When visiting family up north we regularly visit here to grab a cuppa and a cake. Our favourite time to visit is around Christmas as they have lovely quirky Christmas decorations at a very reasonable price! Around £1.00 per item for a tree decoration and stockings can be found for as little as £1.50

The coffee shop is ok priced, with hot chocolate at around £2 and kid’s juice at about £1 for a fruit shoot. Cakes are lovely and good prices!

This is a proper hardware shop that sells a large variety of goods ranging from tools, garden equipment, plants, pots and pans, plates and crockery, tea pot covers and matching tea-towels and loads of other goodies. The staff in the shop are ever so polite and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. If you require any information on tools etc, go upstairs into the hardware department and you will find a large selection of tools and the staff will give you there expert advice. On a main bus route, the bus stop is right outside the shop and there is ample parking if you have your own transport.

This is a garden centre but it also has a gift shop and restaurant.

The gift shop stocks a wide range of indoor and outdoor ornaments, unusual gifts, books, toys and arts and craft things.

The coffee shop serves lunches as well as drinks and snacks. It is lovely home made meals and baking at a good price. They also do kids lunch boxes.

It is a lovely place to have a browse around as you never know what you might find.
