Matalan

Matalan is up by asda near the marina its got a massive free car park so no worries there.
Im not a fan of this matalan to be honest.
Its quite large with a couple of floors its stock is mainly clothes with homeware chucked in also.
It does have a reasonable range of clothes at excellent prices but my problem is the lack of organisation its a very messy store which must either not have enough staff or staff that doesn’t know what its doing.
The changing rooms are also untidy and badly staffed and they have massive queues every time i’ve ever been in there.

Cheap and cheerful but you need a Matalan card to pay at the till, which is just a free membership card but i always forget mine so it takes forever to pay while they find my details. Mens ladies and kids clothes and home accessories and a very good celebration section with all manner of party related items.

I love this shop, it has a brilliant range of ladies, mens, children and baby clothes as well as toys, a homeware department and a great party shop. Prices a very reasonable and I have always fount my purchaces to be good quality. Located in the crumbles retail park there is lots of free parking however at weekends you can end up parking quite far away.

Good family clothes and home store in a busy retail park.

They’ve recently made best use of the pace in this store by creating an upstairs. Aisles are wide and choice is good. Prices are competitive and you can get a membership card although I don’t think you need one to buy things. However membership is free. Students get 10% discount.

They always have good gift ideas in the lead up to Christmas.

Parking is free.

Large superstore with plenty of space to park, containing clothing for all the family, as well as homeware. Can find certain items out of stock ,which can be frustrating in such a large store. A little more up market than it used to be, although on par with Primark, with some nice items from time to time. Plenty of space to adequately wheel a pushchair around without knocking over displays. Worth a visit in order to pick up the odd bargain, although dont expect quality to be great.

I really like this store. It is part of the Crumbles Retail park and stocks men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories as well as homewares and party decorations/invites etc. It’s spread over 2 floors with the convenience of a lift, esculator or stairs. Nice purse friendly prices although a few odd bits surprise me sometimes with a higher price than i’d like. Lots of choice in the clothes depts and plenty of bargains available throughout the store. Free parking available, though can get busy in the car park especially around Christmas.
