Somerfield

Mark’s is probably the main grocery shopping option in the centre of Leicester, but they have a lot of their own brand stuff. If you want more familiar labels and items then this is the place you need to find, in the Haymarket shopping centre (one entrance is right by the central point of Leicester).

To be brutally honest though, it’s a bit small and the shelves are a bit bare. If you are in the centre and need to pick up a couple of things then come here. If you need a bigger shop get in your car, get on a bus…or fly to one of the bigger supermarkets away from the centre of the city. They are much better. It is a shame not to get supermarkets in city centres any more so I hope it hangs on in there.

This store is bright and light and service is excellent. I would definitely recoomned this over the other supermarket in leicester sainsburys.

Prices are better and the store has a really friendly feel. Its situated in the haymarket, and I think many people either dont know its there or forget as its a little out of sight. Good place for a shop - small or large

this supermarket is in a great location, centrally situated in the city centre, some great offers can be found here and staff are generally very helpful. sometimes stock runs low and I personally find items difficult to locate in the store due to a bizzare lay out and 2 different entrances/exits.

Located within the heart of the Haymarket shopping centre, Somerfield combines a friendly team of staff with all the usual products you’d expect to find in a supermarket. Unfortunately their frozen food isn’t that good - there’s not enough variety and even though they’re starting to introduce their own brand items the prices of the store are still quite high and you can only really occasionally grab hold of some really good offers. I love shopping here though as there’s a lot more space to move around than most stores. They also have excellent customer service with most of the staff helping you to pack your groceries at the till as well as engaging you in conversation.

This is a mid sized Somerfield within Leicester city centre, its placed within the Haymarket shopping centre which is ideal when you need to pick up a few groceries and other bits and bobs. You can also pick up there weekly deals and offers here
