Blue Mountain Restaurant

Ok I’m giving this one 3 stars - but really it needs a split review

Restaurant itself - old school. And I mean old school. it’s had a bit of a refurb recently but still it’s not modern. And looks very frayed around the edges.

Food - well starters are old school too. And not incredibly good to my mind. But then I like a bit of rocket with me dinner I do.

but the real reason you come to the Blue Moutain is for the steaks. And boy, are they good. Normally I like to try different things when I go to a restaurant but i always have the fillet with blue cheese when I go to the Blue Mountain and that is because it is very, very good. Lip smackingly good in fact.

If only everything else was of the same standard. The veg, starters, puddings - I always feel let down by them. But if you are a rabid meat eater and you’re not bothered about frills then I’d give it a bash. Expect to pay about 20 quid for a fillet steak
