pizza express

Used the Takeaway service - DO NOT DO IT!! Shame I can't award no stars.
I phoned my order in 1 1/2hours ahead of requested collection time, yet still had to wait almost 30 mins for it.
On arrival I was left standing at the reception desk, and though 3 staff members asked if I was being attended to, after 1o minutes I asked if it was OK to sit while I waited. Even then I was not asked if I would like a drink while I waited.
Staff did not seem to be aware of what had been ordered, one girl wandering back and forward at least 3 times to fetch another box to pack it. When it did arrive 5 large and 2 small boxes were dumped in front of me. On asking whether there was a bag available for an order of this size, a waitress went and fished in her own handbag to produce a carrier bag! Small portions thrown into foil containers which did not fit into the woefully inadequate thin card boxes provided.

This branch offers a novel take on the Pizza chain as it’s located in the library!

I always thought it sounds like a crazy ideas in theory but the clanky sounds of cuttlery in this building works.

You take your seats on a higher level which has a nice view of the church outside or if you are in season the ice rink.

You access the restaurant by either taking the spiral stair case inside near the coffee shop or the other staircases closer to the books. If not quite sure how disabled people would access this concourse.

They often do promotions on the back of Vue cinema stubs so it can be worth while picking up a ticket on the floor or seeing a movie before.

My most favourite place in the world. Eat the pollo salad and dough balls with garlic butter and finish off with a banoffee pie. You can watch the chefs cook, the waitresses well presented. To top it off the prices never seem to rise in my 10 years of dining. The view of the ice skating rink is lovely. Try and get a window seat and watch the world go by.

Good food, nice location. Bad atmosphere.

Its not to bad, inside the forum, open space, not a restuarant feel.

There are better.

I regularly eat in here, mostly at lunchtime. I have always found the staff very attentive and polite, and have never had to wait too long before service. The menu is changed regularly and is nicely balanced between my regular favourite dishes and new dishes. One only gripe is that a glass of wine is at least half the cost of a pizza (nearly £4.00) which is exorbitant for a small glass, hence we never go there if we are in a 'drinking’ mood.
The staff are always very accomodating, and sometime if we are a bit skint, they will only be to happy to bring two plates if we are too poor to buy a pizza each without causing too much embarassment.
The ingedients always taste fresh, especially items such as rocket, parmesan, anchovies etc…
Only critisicm is that when we have stated we have a time limit to dine to a waiter, the pizza has seemed a little undercooked (in a slightly soggy base type way). I know they are trying their best to accomodate our time schedule but i would rather have a cooked pizza and be a few minutes late.
Overall a good dining experience for a regular day, but would choose somewhere different for a more special occasion.
TIP….go and sit in there in December, and watch the ice skaters fall over in the ice rink below…hilarious!

this is a great pizza express, mainly due to the view. lookingout over the city, its a great place to hang with friends for a coffee or meal.
the service is quite good, the food is nice as any pizza express.
a bit cramped and I find that I always get a teeny tiny table when I go there - which is 3 adults and 2 toddlers - anyone with kids knows how much room you need with toddlers to move the cutlery, glasses,flower etc from their reach. half of it ends up on the floor for safety!
the kids meals are a great size, easily big enough for 2 to share.same goes for adults/regular meals - I always share, but maybe that’s because I like variety!

A pizza restaurant right in the centre of the city.
It is situated upstairs in The Forum and has some wonderful views over the city.
The groups of youths hanging around outside and inside the building can tend to be a bit loud at time, and sometimes some of the language you hear from them is not good.
The food offered is good, and there is a wide choice of toppings available.
Pasta dishes and salad is also available.
Starters, deserts and drinks are all available at reasonable prices.

my first visit to the forum in norwich was to visit the pizza express on a reccomendation of a friend and since that first time have returned a few times. it is nice if can get a table near window which over looks city and the local chavs gathering outside. offers pizzas !! pasta starters deserts a good wine list and other drinks at fair prices. the food is mainly prepared in the on display kitchen which is intresting.

This Pizza Express is located with in The Forum and has amazing views over the city.

The food is good and there is a nice selction of sides and desserts too.

The only slightly off putting thing is that sometimes when you go in for a table they tell you that there are no avalible when you can clearly see that about half the resturaunt is empty. But other than that the staff are friendly and helpful.
