Paradise Park is a bit of a strange concoction. 1. it’s really an expanded garden centre. 2. it’s dinosaur and animal exhibitions use some dodgy models and a lot of dead things 3. for a garden centre, there are a lot of plastic plants around too! That said, our 3 and 5 year old seemed to really enjoy themselves! It does have some great play areas, the gardens are interesting and well kept (our two loved all the huge koi in the many pond areas). Downers are: despite paying £27 to get in we still had to pay to go on the train (it was good – but should have been part of the price) the mini golf also cost extra (we didn’t bother) and there was the obligatory amusement arcade section too. Positives were, parking was free, we stayed for over 4 hours, the kids liked it and I bought a beautiful rose home for the garden. They do an annual pass for less than the price of 2 family entry tickets – worth getting if you live locally.

Loads to see and do, not just in the garden centre, but in the huge visitor attraction too. The whole family will be kept amused- great value for money day out. In the centre there is something for everyone. The plants are well kept and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

So much more than a garden centre (although admittedly also one of the best for miles around). The botanic gardens and natural history trail as well as the amazing gardens with steam train and huge play area/attractions are a complete surprise and a fully fledged attraction without the garden centre, very reasonably priced too.

Huge garden centre which is well spread out, lots to do for the whole family such as garden bits and bobs, as well as a cafe, dinosaur trail, play area, themed gardens and more. Good free parking, however a stop off point for coachloads of people, so can get busy at peak times. Worth a visit.

A unique museum of life including a dinosaur safari trail, lovely water gardens where you can see fish and birds, there’s lovely plant houses, themed gardens a heritage trail and a playzone for kids. A great little cafe with some nice food and it’s completely disabled friendly with good toilet facilities.

With so many garden centres around these days, this is a good one. To start with, there is plenty of parking available and trolleys as you enter the centre. There is initially a large indoor section that sells a vast range of things, not all gardening related. In this section, you strangely find things like figuerines and tea cloths as well as some outdoor clothing. Then there is the a large selections of garden “machinery” - lawn mowers, leaf suckers etc as well as garden furniture and bbq’s. In addition, there are sections for plant food and tools, seeds, bulbs and books as well as fish and their accessories.
Outside you will find the plants, garden sheds, bird baths, garden pots, bags of soil etc and, again, a vast selection.
There is a large number of plant varieties and they are very well looked after. I have found plants here that I have found hard to obtain elsewhere.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and specialist events are arranged throughout the gardening callendar which are very helpful and interesting.

This is a huge garden centre fufilling all your out door needs, clothing, patio sets, love seats, garden sheds, bird tables, bird baths, ponds, pets, pet food, bird seed, compost bins, statues, pots, fences and even plants. The plants are well maintained unlike many large garden centres and there is always a member of staff to answer any questions or they will find someone who can. The plants are well priced and they have an interesting selection with many rarer varities available. There is also a nice cafe selling a selection of hot and cold drinks, homemade scones, cakes and biscuits. There is lots of parking available.
