The place is always teaming with people and by that standard it must have something going for it. Once was enough for me thank you. Reminded me of a chain but with a local ish feel. Just not for me.

Fantastic pub grub on offer. The range of food is superb and the portions are HUGE! I recommend heading down there on a Saturday or Sunday morning for a breakfast … hhhhhmmmm!

The traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings is a joy to behold and even better to eat, allegidly the chef starts preparing a 6 in the morning.

There is a function suit in the pub whichcaters for birthdays, or just large parties.

The bar itself has the largest selection of Real Ales that i have ever seen! If its a nice sunny day why not take your ale out to the beer garden and watch the world go by.

The Barge and Bottle are also renowen in the area for there entertainment from live music to special promotions
