We took the 2 grandchildren with a family ticket, it was a very good value history lesson and I am sure something the grandchildren will always remember due to the real life set and smells, right down to the outside privy in use.
really good laugh, you travel round in one of those attraction park cart things. it smells bad, n there are lots of moving mannequins and stuffed animals, entertaining and informational, they've even got a saxon turd on display! there are also vikingbones and other artefacts on display

Built on the actual street level where it was originally found during excavations, the Yorvik Centre is fascinating for young and old alone. It takes you back 1000 years and you see the smells and sounds of life in Viking Britain.Sitting in an automated carriage you are guided through the remains of the Viking settlement where all those years ago people once lived.
There’s the usual tea shop and museum.
Admission for adults is £8.50 at the door, cheaper to book online and you can avoid having to queue in busy times by booking your slot too.Good family ticket discounts available too.
