My wife and I recently visited this restaurant in chester and were very impressed with the service along with the selection of meals available. We would recommend to anybody looking for a nice italian meal with warm and friendly surroundings.

Very nice restaurant whose interior decor is far nicer than the building exterior. The food is always excellent and the staff attentive without being in your face. The food is prepared using fresh ingredients and is cooked to order. We are regular visitors for both their evening and lunch menus and can heartily recommend either. Book in advance for the weekend evening as always busy.

Went recently with some clients who were visiting from France so was bit nervous about taking them to a chain restaurant, but have to say things went really well. The place itself was busy considering it was a wet & windy Tuesday night & it had a really nice/lively atmosphere, service was quick & attentive & the food itself was also very good. Definitely a place I will visit again …recommended !

Piccolino is fairly new to the Chester restaurant scene, and one of a growing number of 'high end chain restaurants’ in the area. The decor is modern, simple and functional with a high standard of finish.
The food is of an excellent standard, with the usual array of Italian dishes including pizzas, pastas and 'carne’ meat dishes. The wine list is modern and fresh and I’ve yet to find a wine here that wasn’t excellent. Service levels are good - although the staff could perhaps be a touch warmer - though this doesn’t adversely impact the dining experience.
Prices are fairly high - certainly higher than the nearby Italian restaurants in the city centre. However in exchange for this you get a consistently good standard of food.
Overall, Piccolino makes an excellent addition to the Chester scene - and is well worth checking out for high quality (if unoriginal) Italian fare.
