3 reviews of Abbey in English
While the staff are helpful and friendly I always feel that it is a bit colder than my local Didcot branch. It could be because they are always seemingly busy when I go in so are probably a bit harried but they are still friendly and helpful.
Usefully, there is a bank machine both inside and out so if you don’t want to withdraw money in the full view of everyone outside, you can go inside for the relative privacy there.
I bank with both Abbey and Barclays, and I much prefer the Abingdon branch of Abbey to Barclays.
It is in a very handy location in the precinct, and always seems quiet and tranquil. There are hardly ever any people waiting to be served, and there are always advisors available to speak to if you need advice.
There are 2 cash machines, one inside and one outside.
I think this branch of Abbey is really nice.
The interior is spacious and well-laid out. There is a cash machine inside (as well as another one outside) and separate glass-walled offices where you can talk in private to a financial advisor.
The counter has spaces for 3 people to serve customers, and there is rarely a queue of more than a minute or 2. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful, although they do sometimes try to “sell” you services you dont want!
Compared to some other banks with more sterile environments, using Abbey is very pleasant and un-stressful.
