No one seemed aware of my booking when I arrived, and I had to keep making this clear that I had booked under the special offer.
Being given a cut that Doug himself preferred- alongside suffering his personal comments, and the constant promoting and hard sale gibberish of the products he promotes, made the whole visit interminably long.
The final insult came when the cashier was preparing my bill and I heard VERY clearly, not to make this the special offer.
The whole thing came to over double of what I was expecting to pay.
Absolutely shameless and living proof how a bit of BS can fool the majority into thinking what an exclusive service this is. Anyone would think this was the mecca of hairdressers in the middle of London.
Money for old rope- not reasonable prices at all .

I Love Hobbs and everyone there, I have been going there for years and still get excited about my appointments - Doug has started to do my hair now and although he talks a lot he still manages to make me look fab. And if there is ever any time I want a bit more off or am not totally happy they sort it out, for free of course!

I went to Hobbs for the first time recently having searched high and low for a great hairdresser in Bristol for 8 months. It’s a great, quirky building and everyone is really friendly. Had a great colour consultation and my hair was cut by Doug Hobbs himself! He put me at ease immediately and gave some great advice on how to make the most of my hair. One of his colleagues then blow dried it beautifully and gave me some great tips on the best products for my hair type. The cut is one of the best I’ve ever had and has been complimented loads since… I would recommend Hobbs to all my friends.

I like to feel pampered when I go for a haircut but this was not the case here. The salon was quite dirty, with bits of hair everwhere (including in the bottom of my teacup) and my stylist was quite unprofessional and rough, shoving my head around and pulling my hair. She cut off more than I wanted and instead of doing a proper styled blow-dry she just used straighteners - something I do every day myself. When I got to the till it cost me £5 more than I expected because they'd ignored my request for a graduate stylist and given me a stylist instead.

I tried Hobbs after going to 3 of the other 'top’ hairdressers in the area and I am so pleased I did. I was a bit worried having had some bad experiences in the past but my stylist put me at ease and I can honestly say the cut is the best I have ever had. I have already booked my next appointment.
I would recommend without hesitation.

very dissapointed after paying over £100 left with one side much longer than the other and a crap blow dry, water frezing cold whilst having hair washed, to anoyed to stay and ask for mistakes to be rectified the stylist could visably see what she had done i would not recomend this salon to any one.

I’ve been going to Hobbs for around 4yrs now and can’t fault it - really relaxed, non-pretencious & lovely people. Matt cuts my hair & absolutely love it every time. Really reasonable prices. Can’t recommend it enough - especially if you like alternative cuts & not just your average bob. Love it!

Hobbs’ is fantastic and is the only place I get my hair cut. I went to a place in cheltenham recently because they had 50% off but they were nowhere near as good and now I regret it. The hair dressers are all great and professional. The place is clean and very friendly. I love it. It’s also very affordable. Only cost about £27 for a hair cut, wash and finish.

Dear Reviewer
We offer a 50% discount for students on Tuesdays. This is advertised on our website. If you are not a student with a valid student ID and did not come on a Tuesday then this offer would not have been available to you.
If you were able to provide any evidence of the offer you mentioned we would have happily honoured it, however other than the offer above we have never offered a half price cut and finish with Doug Hobbs.
As a salon we have never adopted a ‘hard sale’ approach to our products. We may make recommendations but it is the hairdressing that is most important to us.
