Sereyna is THE best hairdresser I've ever had!! I went there for the first time yesterday and was a little apprehensive as I have had some hair disasters but the first thing I noticed was that she was so friendly and welcoming that I felt instantly at ease. She listened to what I was looking to have done and then did just what I wanted. She is a VERY skilled hairdresser, and instead of being interested in giving me the hairstyle of the week like most big named salons she did a mix of what I wanted and what suited me best. She gave a little much appreciated advice and I walked out with the best hairstyle I've ever had! The price was also fantastic! Oh and we bopped along to a few cheesy eighties classics too. That was the icing on the cake :) Thank you Sereyna!!

Got my hair cut today @ KAI hair by Raimi. Looove it!!!
I have natural afro hair and wanted it cut and the lady who attended to me was quite professional and friendly.
would definitely recommend it if you are in Manchester and need to get your hair done.

Had my hair done today an uno what top star, she was fast an percise, made me feel welcome an the whole atmosphere of the hairdressers was good.. Deffo reccommand to my girls to go there an I will be goin there again myself.. She was easy to talk to an gave good advive on hair an what to use nxt time.. Top quality :)

I found the salon when on a visit to Manchester from Aberdeen in May and promised myself that if came back to Manchester i would book an appointment to get my usual resturcture/curly perm- after looking at the reviews online i felt confident enough to go ahead – and how chuffed am I – Raimi has done my hair exactly as i wanted it and in the most welcoming, friendly, fast and professional manner – the price is also very competitive.
I have now went from being unable to get my fingers through my hair to now having a lovely head of defined shiny curls!

Living in Aberdeen makes it very hard to find decent afro hairdressers and as mentioned in other reviews, the majority on offer are usually very unprofessional, unsure of what theyre doing, and expensive.
Apart from it being a great city, I now have another excuse to travel to Manchester every 6 months – to get my hair done by Raimi – thank you

Excellent hairdressers! I have very very thick Afro hair that is very tight curled. I went in this weekend for a curly perm to loosen my curl and was so pleased with the result. Hair was done in record time without compromise on quality and also at a good price. Very well looked after and will definitely be using this place as my regular hairdressers :-)

I found this on the internet after being ripped off by my previous hairdresser and thought I'd give it a try. I have been relaxing my hair for about 15 years and have tried many different afro carribean salons. I found Kai's to be the best one I have been to both for friendliness and efficiency. Serena relaxed and cut my hair and she is absolutely brilliant. I have a very sensitive scalp and it always burnt with my previous hairdresser but this time it was fine. The price for relaxing included a treatment and cut and is very competitive. The whole process only took two hours from start to finish and normally I am in the hairdressers for 3 - 4 hours. I am so pleased thet at last I have found a hairdresser that I can trust and am over the moon with the result

This was the first hairdressers I went to and after searching around for a hairdressers that could handle my afro hair, I was so glad I found KAI. I am of mixed heritage, Black Caribbean and White English, so a normal hairdressers would probably mess my hair up more than fix it. KAI helped me out so much and I always leave the hairdressers happy knowing that my hair has been cared for properly.
I highly recommend this hairdressers if you have afro hair, because I know how hard it is to find a good hairdresser.

Well the first thing is this, i dont go to hairdressers as a rule too many bad experiences. So for me this was a real turning point. Nice cup of tea was offered which to me was a good start. (The friendly and funny banter was nice too.X factor every one has a view on that dont they ?!!) I have to Say that Sereyna made me feel very relaxed. She knows her stuff and loves her job. and it shows. i have been walking around for the last few months in a wig and after that with a little afro bun pinned to my scalp, so it was time for a change. My feeling is is that she understood where i was at. She even went and got some weave up the way , i ended up with a wicked hairstyle, I received loads of compliments and feel i have turned a corner with myself. it has been a real boost to my confidence. The price was really reasonable and( that was the most pleasant suprise,!!!) imagine paying through the nose for something you dont want. This is my hairdresser from now on for real Brilliant i am well pleased. If you dont have a hairdresser or want a change give them a try you wont regret it. And thanks again Sereyna

I went here after finding it on the internet, I am very cautious for anyone touching my hair. From the booking over the phone I felt assured I was in safe hands, Serayna did my hair she was very competant, professional and friendly, from now on she is my hairdresser, she sure knows about hair, it was really good value for money, I was pleased with my hair when I came out. I will never go anywhere else, my hair was not pulled, my head not burnt, no spray in my eyes, not sat under the dryer for too long, the only thing I would say is I wish i had found this wkd hairdressers earlier, it is tooked away in a side street, but is a really is the BEST IN TOWN.

Faboulous and friendly service. Excellent value for money and always make you feel welcome. Kai doesnt get the acknowledgement it truly deserves. I wouldn't go anywhere else

I have been going to this salon for over 10yrs and never left the shop disapointed. You have never met a team like 'em and they really do know what they are doing. I have recommended so many people and again never had a bad response back. They also cater for european hair as well as afro and won many awards. Go check them out and I promise you won’t leave disapointed…..The price is also good which is an added bonus. Peace x

If you have Afro Caribbean hair and are looking for a hair dresser that is professional, punctual, tidy, won’t break the bank while offering great service, then Kai’s is the place to go. As a person of mixed race my options for hair salons are limited. I have tried the popular high street chain salons before, however I frequently found myself explaining to the person serving me what needs to be done (they just don’t know what to do with a mass of soft curly hair)! Equally, I have gone to other Afro Caribbean hair salons which are notorious for their tardiness and poorly managed operations. Kai is different – I have yet to wait more than 5 minutes to get started and the service is fabulous! They also cater to all hair types and I would very highly recommend!
