Having read the many poor feedback reports here, we decided against a 4Front purchase and went and bought an immaculate BMW from a really nice guy who had prepared his cars very well and had just MoT'd and had serviced the BMW in question. Great negotiation and good deal. My friend is very happy with the deal. Better car, better price, serviced & MoT'd.
I am nothing to do with car industry or competitors!

Would have given 4.5 stars, as headlamp washer jet cover wasn't replaced as pointed out it was missing. Other than that, I will go back to them when this car needs changing.

For any genuine customer reading this review please be advised that this is a rival car dealer who doesen’t take kindly to honest professional competition so is desperately trying to tarnish our good name by leaving made up slanderous comments. We have already had their comments removed before so now they have re-registered under a different username to start again.
Let me assure all customers that any car you see advertised with us is real, we do not advertise dummy, underpriced cars in order to get you here only to sell you something else. These are tactics employed by some rogue traders but certainly not by us, all cars advertised with us actually exist, come and see for yourself.
I picked the car up, said FSH, and new MOT, however, I had to replace the rear pads pretty much straight away, although they gave me £40 of diesel, I am sure they were aware of the 'actual' cost.
However, when the pads were done, I had to have filters changed because of the horrible smell, new rear tyres, £180 each, so already within 2 months, £600+ spent on the car.....3 months in and the turbo has gone, another £300 from me, to cover diagnosis and additional parts recommended by BMW & my repair garage, a weeks car hire....the car has cost at least £1000 so far, and £1000 to the warranty company!
It now needs front pads and the tyres could do with being replaced!
The salesman (Lee) tried to be helpful, so i thought i would look to re-sell it to them, so after £2000+ spent, and a purchase price of £11.5k you would have though a little compassion, however, the offer was a laughable £9000...what do you say to that, I would have spent more to purchase a replacement car, but how do you justify the loss on a car you have only had for 3 months. If they could have offered me £10k to £10.5k I would have accepted and dealt with the loss...
If you buy a car from these guys, I would recommend that you get an inspection done, as I do not believe the cars are inspected thoroughly. Also HAD to pay £99 admin fee & £499 warranty.

Firstly if the price was only ok’ish then why did you travel from reading to buy it, then you say you HAD to buy a £499 warranty which is false you CHOSE to buy it, also the car was not advertised with fsh but history up to 68k and when you bought the car it had covered 80k.
This car had passed its mot only a couple of weeks prior to your purchase so the tyres certainly weren’t illegal but in keeping with the fact that this is a used car which is 6 years old, and the £300 you paid towards the turbo repair were not essential works but replacement parts you chose to have done whilst other essential works were being carried out, the warranty paid for all essential repairs.
And with regards to my laughable offer of 9k, well considering you paid 11.5k 3/4 months ago how on earth can i offer 10.5k to buy it back. -
glennadams73, 16 December 2012:
Not Reading, but hey! I was told I HAD to have the warranty, as the finance was a little tricky, if thats not the case, i would be keen to know why i was told i had to have it…
Just to clarify, i have covered just 4500 miles in this car, oh and now the front pads & discs have to be changed and the front tyres dont have long left…not bad for a purchase of 11.5k, do you think??? my mistake to buy the car, maybe. Regarding the Turbo, I was advised by the garage who completed the repair, and BMW that the specific parts ‘should’ be replaced, I am not a mechanic!
I am not saying that you are a rogue dealer, not at all, Lee was very nice to deal with, a speedy transaction, all very good, I just wish I had the time to get the car inspected, as didnt expect to have to spend so much on a new car purchase.

I'm used to a professional service and that is what I recieved. I brought a BMW 335i and could not be more pleased with my purchase.
I have had one minor problem with the car and phoned Lee and it was sorted out immediately. The car is now running fine and I could not fault the service that I received and the speed in which it was delt with. I would recommend this car dealership to any who is looking for a good quality BMW. Thanks again for looking after me.

- parking light sensor failures
- window washers failing to pump out water
- coolant fluid leaking from the car
- driver side window jamming when halfway up
- parking sensor failure
- flat tyre
- SATNAV not working
After owning the car for just 4 days we returned it to 4front for repairs which were all covered under the 1 year warranty which we had purchased at an additional cost. I did at this point request a refund and for the car we part exchanged to be returned to us however this was declined and I was told that it was 'bad luck' that we had suffered so many problems but reassured that none of the faults were dangerous. Our baby at this stage was just 5 months old and I was vexed at having found ourselves with an unreliable 'lemon' of a car when reliability was now key for us.
Since we got the car back from those repairs in early September we have had yet another coolant leak and most recently an error message to say the level system has failed. I have had to go back and forth to garages to try to resolve the problems,
We will definitely not be looking to buy from 4front again. While they have acknowledged our issues and not been dismissive of them, the underlying inconvenience with all these malfunctions has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Just like to say that whilst this isn’t completely inaccurate i’d like to point out that immediately a courtesy car was offered, rectification on all these faults was carried out within a day of vehicle arrival, sat/nav was not faulty only the wrong disc was in car ( replaced ) and customer was treated with nothing other than complete professionalism and courtesy throughout.
This car left our forecourt without fault, these developed after a few days and were put right without hesitation, like any car they can and will go wrong at times and despite some of the fabricated reviews below we are dedicated to complete customer satisfaction. -
gmill, 9 November 2012:
I wholeheartedly agree that we have been treated with courtesy and that 4front have been helpful and professional with our aftercare-if my earlier review has come across as negative in terms of customer care then it is not a true reflection of the good customer service we have received. As I said previously, staff have not dismissed us at all.The issues were rectified swiftly,a courtesy car was provided and we have also had a mobile repair chap come to our house to resolve some problems-we did purchase an optional warranty for £499 so I suppose these repairs would be covered by that additional cost. Not sure how the repairs would have been covered without the pricy warranty though. It’s worth mentioning that we had bought a car from 4front 4 years ago which we loved and which had never given us any bother at all.
I am very frustrated by this BMW purchase though and feel vexed by the seemingly endless stream of problems.Even today I am without the car as it is at the garage being checked over due to a recurring coolant leak and failure of the levelling system.I’m driving some distance over the weekend and did not want to take any chances.I just have no faith in this car and my husband and I are already looking at purchasing another car and selling this one on.
To summarise,4front customer service has been very good, helpful and always professional. The car though has been a real headache and the inconvenience it has caused us in the 2 and a half months we have owned it has been most frustrating-it’s purely because of the car that we would not return.Customer service was great but we’re stuck with a car riddled with problems.
I have had two minor problems with the car over the past six months , 4 Front picked up the tab on both of these issues.
I would imagine that this group sell over 100 cars per month so the the fact they only have eight or nine bad reviews is pretty good going.
As I read further into the the reviews , It would seem that all of the negative feedback for 4 Front have been replied to by a rival car dealer based in Kent. I dont think that this will give 4 Front a fair review,
Whenever consumers are happy with a product they very seldom take time to make a positive comment towards the supplier, But if unhappy , they will find time to voice their opinion.
Happy from belvedere.

Thanks for your prompt reply and forwarding me your reg number so i could look into your complaint. You purchased a renault scenic 2002 (52) with 97318 mls for the sum of £1790.00.At the time of purchase you where informed the vehicle needed a service as the last service recorded in the service book was 56546 and that the cambelt needed changing, these were the conditions you fully understood at the time of purchase and decided to go ahead with buying the said car. These coments where strongly recommended and are clearly detailed on your invioce.2 months later your cambelt broke and renderd the car unuseable.if you had of changed the cambelt you would not be in this position.i there for feel your complaint is unjustified.

mitchell25, 11 June 2012:
Bought car for £1889 NOT £1790 as you state. Which is top end money.
within weeks i had to return it for problems with accelerator pedal and door sensor.
On 30/04/12 i had to fit a new Battery costing me £88 as the one in the car was UNSERVICABLE.
On 12/05/12 7 weeks after purchase and less than 500 miles the Cam Belt went.
When i bought the car and signed the invoice there was nothing written on it about CaM Belt or last Service etc and during this time in the Sales Office it was NEVER spoken about as if it was I would NEVER have bought the carif i had been told it needed a new Cam Belt and had NOT been serviced since 2005 do you think i would have bought the car, do you think anyone would buy a car if this was the case!! How you can sell a car that has not been serviced since 2005 and claim that it is road worthy is a disgrace and goes against Section 34 Motor Vehicle Dealers Act.Therefore if you recommend the Belt needs changing you KNOW something the buyer doesn’t you KNOW the Belt needs changing and under the above Act you are therefore responsible to make good any defects that make the car unroadworthy or liable to make the car unroadworthyi .
-
Owner's commentmurphy001, 11 June 2012:
I have a copy of the invoice which i can scan and e.mail and attach that shows clearly the last service and cambelt recomended for change.I also think its unlikely that the battery you changed 6 weeks after purchase is something we could have known would need replacing.
Section 34 you mention in no way states that the fact the last recorded service renders the car unfit for use, infact the car may have had more services, however this was the last one recorded in the service book.
Your door switch and throttle were carried out by us free of charge.
Your car was £1790.00 plus an admin fee of £99.00.total £1889.00. -
mitchell25, 12 June 2012:
Firstly – i did NOT say the recommendation to replace the Cam Belt was not on the invoice – i said it’s not very legible and that the salesman never mentioned verbally about either the last service or the Cam Belt.
Secondly – i did NOT say the fact the car had not been serviced since 2005 rendered it unroadworthy – the fact the Cam Belt needed changing makes the car unroadworthy or liable to become unroadworthy that’s where section 34 IS relevant.
I am not going to argue back and forth all i will say is if whilst sat with your salesman handing over my money he had mentioned just the Cam Belt on it’s own i would NEVER have paid what i paid for the car unless your salesman was prepared to knock an appropriate amount off the price or i would have insisted the Cam Belt be changed before i bought the car particularly given the price.
i am just glad that i only got done for £1900 and not £5000 or more like others that have purchased from your disreputable company and at least i can hold my head high knowing i am an honest person with integrity and if spreading the word can stop just one person buying a car from you i will do everything i can to make this happen. -
Owner's commentmurphy001, 13 June 2012:
Sorry you feel that way. However i have spoken to the salesman and he said he made it clear to you that the belt needed changing. If the belt had been changed and the car serviced before you purchased the car it would have been on the market at £2990.00 not £1889.00.
If you had changed the belt you would be driving your car.
-
mitchell25, 13 June 2012:
Your salesman is a LIAR he NEVER mentioned the Cam Belt that’s a FACT.
I needed a reliable car for work particularly as i will be working unsociable hours over the Olympics and will also need to ferry my disabled son about I’m not a risk taker i don’t take chances and IF i had been verbally told about the Cam Belt i would not have bought the car in that condition.
As for £2990 with the work done DREAM ONI stand by what i said at the start you’re service is appalling and underhand and i urge that nobody buys a car from you
well if you look at google they even got a ban from fsa over there finance becuse you broke the law oh this must be another car dealer NO THERE A GOVERMENT BODY

4front are still regulated by the f.s.a as an appionted representive.we choose to remove our capital resources to other more inportant parts of our business such as freehold property. There was no such ban.The public are more intelligent then you give them credit for,and can clearly read between the lines.
i bought a BMW 6 series from 4Front, I had to wait for collection of the car because it was apparently being checked over in their work shop. When I did collect the car I took it home only to find it did not have a drop of oil and the sump was cracked. They said that I did it and would not fix it even though I told them the same day!! All they did was to send a clown to my house with one liter of oil. The car has since cost me thousands to put right!! The price of their cars is less than main dealers but the after sales care is abismal! If I had bought the car from BMW it would have been in good working order and if there was a problem with it they would have fixed it, especially as I realised the same day. I would have saved thousands of pounds if I had bought from main dealer. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME! 4FRONT ARE A BUNCH OF COWBOYS.

FOR ANY ONE READING THE ABOVE STATEMENT I’D LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT WE AT 4 FRONT CAR SALES ONLY SELL CARS WITH SERVICE HISTORY AND WOULD GLADLY PROVE THAT TO ANY DOUBTERS.
ALSO ITS WORTH MENTIONING THAT RIVAL DEALERS WHO SPECIALISES IN ROGUE TRADING AND DOESN’T LIKE HONEST AND FAIR COMPETITION OFTEN LEAVES DEROGATORY FABRICATED LIES ON VARIOUS SITES ABOUT US.
STILL NOT SURE THEN POP IN AND SEE US AND RECIEVE A BUYING EXPERIENCE TO TOP ALL OTHERS!
I’m a guy who walked in off the street and got terrible service. I’m not affiliated with any garage.
Regarding the history when I asked for the service history the sales man read some dates off of a file card. When I asked to see the bills, he avoided the question by saying “it’s normal for a car to be main dealer serviced at the beginning and by a specialist later in it’s life” as if I wouldn’t notice the change in subject. If he had the doc’s why didn’t he just show me?
He then refused to let me drive the car unless I agreed to buy it before hand. As I said, either the car had some obvious faults , or he thought the guy in front of him with 15k burning a hole in his pocket was a time waster. Either way he was rude and arrogant and the service was terrible.
