Big screens and comfy seats with plenty of leg room too. Great sound and picture in all the screens.

Many snack/food stand in the foyer, with goodies such as hotdogs, nachos, icecream, pic 'n’ mix, popcorn and drinks.

Bonus of this cinema is DEFINATELY the moeny off parking. If you have a cinema ticket, you can get your parking validated, and only pay £1.30 instead of the usual high charges!

This is a great 14 screen cinema in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. It shows pretty much all the new films and also does special cheaper screenings for children at weekends and senior citizens on Thursdays.

The screens vary in size but all have quite comfy seats and plenty of leg room. There are also plenty of toilets in the cinema.

They sell a range of food and drink including popcorn, hot dogs and ice cream but, be warned, it is not cheap!

Gunwharf Quays has a large pay car park but, if you get your car park ticket validated in the cinema, you can park for 4 hours for £1.30 (providing you go to see a film, of course!).

This is a great place to come and watch movies. There are a lot of screens that show mostly new movies, but they often do preview showings, foreign films and morning screenings for kids. Popular films often sell out, though, so it’s a good idea to pre-book for those. The snacks there are pretty good, especially the pick 'n’ mix and nachos, but what’s really amazing is the Baskin Robbins ice cream. If you get a 3-scoop sundae, you might want to bring your own chopped nuts though, since they always seem to run out! The popcorn there used to be amazing, but it’s since become tasteless, chewy rubber.

The staff there are really nice and actually knowledgeable about film, and the toilets are almost always clean, even on busy nights. This is the only cinema I go to, mainly because the leg room is excellent - I have a very tall family! - and the sound and picture quality of the films are excellent. Just don’t sit at the front, though, unless you feel like watching a film with your head swishing back and forth, like watching a tennis match.
