This was my main shop when I lived in halls in my first year of uni! Impressively big and usefully stocked considering its central location! Very handy.

Just visited some friends in London. We wanted to buy some stuff for a party - and Tesco's was our first choice. We found everything for a good price.

Best place to buy basics near Covent Garden.

There a lot of self-checkout machines, so you could save time here as well...

A big enough tesco variety-wise, contained in a small enough space.

One of the most practical supermarkets in London, as the location couldn't be more central if it tried!

Great for grabbing a little nibble while waiting to meet friends, or for doing your after-work groceries before heading home.

It has a good number of those self-checkout machines, too, which is great as you can walk out of there twice as fast without having to wait in a queue for the till!!

I’ve always thought that this is a wierd but brilliant location for a Tesco Metro….as other people have pointed out its in a particularly expensive part of our expensive capital….so its ideal for grabbing a quick bite to eat at about 1/10th of the price of anything near by!

Seeing as Covent Garden caters more to the tourist market, eating out can get rather expensive - to save some money, I sometimes make the trip to the Tesco Metro - it’s far cheaper than buying from the many restaurants, and is useful for picking up drinks and such.

Once you’re inside, you’ll notice it’s quite a bit larger than it looks - plus you’ll get your tesco points too!

I really liek this Tesco Metro because you can get all the essentials you need at really low prices. This is especially good because the prices for food and drink in London at places like Starbucks can be very high and really eat into the budget if you’re on a family day out.

You can pick up drinks and sandwiches for about £1 each which is super. I’ve noticed that they always have lots of people on the checkouts so there is rarely a need to queue.

Very well stocked store is an easily accessible location!

This Tesco is definitely not as small as it looks - I was quite surprised by the size! Stocks the basics, particularly food and drinks, as well as other bits and bobs!

It’s very convenient - prices around Covent Garden are often extortionate so good to just be able to pop in and get something to eat or drink at Tesco price on your travels.

They have the buy one get one frees as the bigger Tescos do, though it obviously depends whether they stock the thing on offer as to whether they will have it here.

Overall, it’s obviously not got as good as selection as the bigger Tesco stores but it does its job in providing low cost food/drink on the go for people in Covent Garden. Highly recommended!

This is a deceptively big Tesco that is ideally located just off Covent Garden. It stocks lots of the basics you’d expect to find in a Tesco Express, but as it’s a city centre shop, it also focusses on the lunch time crowd by having an extensive range of sandwiches, drinks, crisps and salad just as you walk in. As always for Tesco, it’s great value, which is highlighted by prices in surrounding shops and bars.

It’s a great place to pick up an ice cream or cold drink at a reasonable price when you’re out and about in this expensive area. So make sure you know where this place is if you’re going for a night out, and save yourself some pennies.
