I think the 'expensive' comment is maybe a little over the top, on comparisaon to many other tourist visitor sites throughout the Uk it is averagely priced and for such a piece of history, it is definately wortth the money.

As touristy as anywhere, but a lovely way to spend an hour. Interestingly, the only part of this house that is original from Shakespeare's time is the floor in the dining room; but even so, the rebuilt/refurbished house is still so full of history since Shakespeare's death that it's worth visiting for that alone.
The tour of the house is preceded by a walk through a short museum tour.
This again is a very wonderful place, it isnt too expensive but if you plan to visit more than one Shakespeare house it works out much cheaper to buy the ticket which admits you into them all plus that one is valid for a year and you can use it as many times as you please.
I cannot believe the house is still standing, its very strange to see this house stood amongst all the nowadays shops on that street. The tour guides are really informative and theres plenty to look at.
In the house's courtyard their were actors from the RSC doing a little Theatre which on a lovely summer's day is really pleasant.
Such an inspirational place.....Definately worth a visit, we went in the height of the season in July, the middle of the school holidays and it wasnt majorly busy and we didnt have to queue for long neither.

This is a great place if you want to learn about where Shakespeare was born. The gardens around the back are kept beautifully and its a great place to go any time of the year. It does get very busy and if often full of school parties so be careful what time you visit. It is expensive for what you get.
