Very chic venue with a wonderful breakfast menu. Good for business lunches and dinners. Service is great but definately requires booking.

Good looking. Discrete. Relaxed. Perfect for breakfast. Nothing is too hurried (including the service) but the food is usually worth the wait. We had breakfast and the eggs Benedict was surprisingly good: better than the Savoy where I ate 4 days earlier.

Update. My latest breakfast was great but the wild mushroom omelet a massive disappointment. Greasy, flat, tasteless. Come on ideas. Don't rest on your laurels!

Cecconi's is probably the top Italian restaurant in London when it comes to business; the River Cafe and Zafferano are both better for mainly social gatherings. It's a place where one can run into 'heavies' - and not just one account of the size of their wallets. But go for some sublime dishes - the tagliolini verdi gratinati comes immediately to mind - and superlative Italian wines - like the Sforza I had last time. You will leave much poorer than when you came in - but it's worth it

Cecconi's is a wonderful place as it has many of the attributes one wants from a restaurant, particularly a: great (Italian) food, great service, a bit of hype, centrally located. The place looks great too with an original choice of green for the chairs, and a nice collection of venitian mirrors that makes the who restaurant stand out as somewhere funky and elegant. A great place for a London dinner, be it with friends, your loved one or for business. Note that it is open till late, unfortunately on the expensive side.
