The Parrot & Punchbowl

This is one of our local pubs. Very friendly staff and good real ales. Stuffed field mushrooms with couscous are delicious. Reasonably priced meals. Homely atmosphere. Car park, outside seating.

Avoid this place at all costs unless you are just calling in for a drink!

We passed by here once stopping for a drink and saw that the pub served food - it all looked a very homely style pub so we thought we would bring our family here for a meal one Sunday. What a mistake!!! We waited ages for a table which we had booked in advance, waited ages for our orders to be taken, waited ages for the meal to turn up - which turned up without any veg - which we had to wait a further five minutes for after the rest of our dinner had been delivered to our table. We had to laugh when they finally got round to asking us if we fancied dessert - NO THANKS!
