This branch is local to my office, yet I don’t visit it as much as I would like due to the poorly trained staff.
It’s based within Whiteley’s shopping centre, a small mall that was once an entire department store, many moons ago. There are two floors to the shop, although there aren’t any lifts, just a staircase, so I’m not sure how a person in a wheelchair would be able to have access throughout.
The put-off is, I’ve often heard staff swear casually in conversation across the shop floor and ban you from seeing the stock downstairs no where near closing time, but they claim that section is shut.
They argue, in front of you too, over who will serve you as they can’t be bothered/are too busy/want to go home/have to cash up etc. Nor will they find alternative sizes of garments for you that aren’t on the shop floor.
Thus I buy most of my stuff online so I don’t have to endure the store. Yet I do take back what I don’t want, so it’s a bit of a bummer that on occasion I have to use it.
