It’s Nandos .. There is no negative :) I normally go to Nandos and and movie .. Great way to end a weekend .. It’s a good idea to grab a loyalty card .. Eating free Nandos is never a bad thing..
One of my worst experiences at any Nando’s ever. I will definitely not be going back to this Nando’s in Richmond. Its not like its the first time they’ve made a mistake, but that very fact that I’ve dismissed mistakes here and there many times before, knowing that its a family experience not meant to be a flawless one. The atmosphere goes hand in hand with that both good and bad. I have found the service at this particular restaurant (Richmond) consistently rude, short, and unhelpful but of course with the rare gems serving and cleaning that unfortunately are the few that stand out for their good service.
As a person who has LOVED nandos, still do to a lesser degree… I say this, sadly… Nando’s has Lost their spark of life, the charm of family times, even their food has taken a dive. They’ve chased after increasing profits like any company should, but have lost what got them recognised in the first place. They’ve decreased portion size to fit into ‘fancier’ dishes and they’ve hidden under the guise of ‘value for money’ for longer than its been true.
Everything I have to say is encapsulated by their ‘current version’ of the “hot” peri peri sauce…
- No longer what it says on the front
- diluted for wide appeal
- riding on the glory of yesteryear
- just leaves a sour taste in your mouth (good or bad)

Nandos is Nandos. Food is okay, service is quick. However this restaurant is quite small and is dated compared to other Nandos. Always busy, being close to the cinema and the river.
They have way too much seating for such a small restaurant and sometimes you can't move from your table without slamming into the person sitting behind you.
nice spot on Richmond Hill - quite large terrace should you wish to eat out on a warmer day )and near Ben & Jerry’s should you wish for tasty ice cream after lunch/dinner.
I bought take away from here once. Comments: It took a long time (just under one hour). The food was quite cold when we got it. Not a problem for most things, but the chips were limp and a bit unpleasant. The rice is nice! The chicken was tasty - bit of a messy business eating it though. Would go again, but probably to eat-in.
The healthy (ok, not as unhealthy) alternative to KFC, Nando’s offers half-decent grilled chicken, with a choice of spiciness from why-bother to overly-compensating-for-small-winkie). The side dishes are also somewhat more interesting or better done than KFC, with spicy nuts or olives helping to stave off starvation before your meal’s brought to you.
Nando’s is fairly child-friendly, with decent options for children and a menu option that includes unlimited amounts of frozen yoghurt.
A good choice for a quick tasty and cheap-ish meal before popping into the neighbouring Odeon to catch a film.
