The Faulkner Bar and Kitchen

Popped in for a diet coke, The Faulkner has modernised itself. It has changed from the old fashioned Faulkner Arms into The Faulkner Bar and Kitchen. The Faulkner can get a little crowded at times but the atmosphere is modern and lively. The food is excellent. located half way down Faulkner Street opposite its arch rival The Bromfield Arms.

The Faulkner Arms has recently been updated to be much more of a 'city bar’ - even though it’s located in Hoole just outside the city centre.

The drinks are reasonable and the atosphere is nice - particularly on cold winter evenings. But the real draw here is the food - in particular the pizzas and burgers. They have quite a few deals including buy one get one free on certain nights for pizza - and this makes them not only delicious but also great value.

This is probably my favourite pub/bar outside the city centre and I’ve been back many times for the food. They also do 'staff discount’ deals with a lot of local employers which makes it even more of a destination.
