Carlo's

Run by an Italian businessman I have been going to Carlos’ since I was 13 [I’m now 20]. Even though I no longer live on the Saffron estate I still travel up there. The speciality here is men’s hair with very reasonable prices and also the atmosphere of the place is a lot more welcoming than some other salons I’ve been to in the past. The salon is very small and only has one hairdresser working there but you don’t really have to wait that long as he is exceptional at his job and will always work to the best of his ability to give you the haircut you want and will even attempt to make alterations if you are unhappy with the finished results. It’s also nice to go to Carlos’ just for the small talk you get whilst your hair’s being cut. You’re not herded in and then kicked out straight away.

The salon offers haircuts for both men and boys as well as beard trimmings and perms and nothing on offer costs over 10.00.

The salon is situated halfway up Saffron Lane just before you turn onto the Fairway.
