Me and lots more people have been to Pauls Pirates for many years and the staff have always been polite and friendly everytime we have been. Its a shame that someone like you feels the need to slag off a place that has done wellingborough proud for many years. Im sure that this place is probably better off without someone like you going there anyway.

A good sized play area and prices were all very reasonable. I think it is a shame that a few people clearly from the same party have all wrote defamatory comments. I have always found the staff to be polite and have never had any issues.
not even worth one star….For anyone that was thinking of booking a party at Paul’s pirates Wellingborough… I would strongly advise you think twice. Yesterday I paid £160 for a private hire party and must say the staff were arrogant and rude, especially the person in charge who’s name I know to be Leanne!! I ha guest waiting 10 mins for a coffee whilst two members of staff there sat on chairs and basically ignored people queuing. We were told a 6.55 to leave the premises as we were cutting into the staffs time even tho we had paid for a party from 5-7. My mum was also called a jumped up F-ing tart! when she approached this Leanne to talk to her about her attitude and when I spoke to her about the way she had spoken to people I was told that she had done nothing wrong and I could complain to the owner but they simply wouldn’t give a sh!t. Which was proved to be true when I went in today to talk to Diane ‘the owner!!!’ so I am guessing they are some how related. Just thought I should let you all know what a let down the party was and what a waste of money. My 3 yearold was left upset by the lady shouting abuse at all of us

Matt24, 1 February 2012:
I took my 7 yr old daughter to Pauls Pirates for the first time at the weekend as she attended a birthday party, all i can say it i was absolutley disgusted with how one member of staff spoke to both us and the children, i have since learned that this member of staff was the assistant manager. Our party was booked from 5pm to 7pm, at 6.45 the assistant manager shouted at the top of her voice to my daughter who was in the play area to “get out of there now and get her shoes on” my daughter was very upset at the way she was spoke to, at 6.55 (5 minutes before the party was due to finish) again the assistant manager came over to all the adults very agressively and shouted for us to get out as we running into her own time and if we were not gone in 5 minutes we would get charged a further £20. We were absolutley shocked at how she dealt with this and when we approached her to complain she became even more abusive. All this was witnessed by about 20 children of all ages. We asked the assistant manager for her managers details which she gave us but then addded “put a complaint in about me my manager won’t do anything about it” We have sinced spoken to the manager and she had a couldn’t care less attitude and told us to put our complaint in writing. I am actually horrified that someone as rude, agressive and down right ignorant be allowed to work with children, All i can say is stay away as this is most certainly not a child friendly place!! Disgusting!!!

I would never set foot in this place again and have told all my friends and will be telling anyone i know with children not to go this place unless you want to be abused and your children be abused by the the staff and i am talking about one member in particular Leanne, i have never come across such an arrogant abusive person in my life and the management don’t seem to care either….so my advice to anyone is to steer well clear of this place,

I was very disappointed with the place. Very small, not much bigger than a play place you would expect to find in some well known family friendly restaurants. I didn't find the staff friendly, which is disappointing for a place geared for children. I think the food was overpriced £3 for a tasteless cheese toastie on the thinnest bread and an extra 20p for a couple of small pieces of onion, we also had to wait a ridiculously long time and it was during school hours, so the place wasn't that busy. I thought the under 3s area was pointless and not suitable for 2-3 year olds at all, nothing to stimulate them, it would be much better if that area was for 18 months and under only. On a plus the place was cleaner than some I've been to and my little ones loved the slides as they were so fast. I would say it is a place for just under 5s no older as is so small just not enough space for bigger ones to act their age without knocking little ones flying! If it was, with more upbeat staff and better food then I would have rated this higher.

hi pauls pirates is a great small indoor soft play area for children, it has a small seperate area for babies, the prices are very resonable and if you go in school time they offer a great eat and play deal, theres a cafe where you can get cheap teas and food, the location is on a industral estate so you will need to drive but well worth the drive
