Review of Starbucks Coffee from 21 May 2012

Lots of Starbucks are now in the Soho / Covent Garden area. Some might not like it but they are there. I wanted a basic hot chocolate so Starbucks was the best option for me. After my first try Starbucks had no proper cup left since their dishwasher was broken (and many of the Oxford Street ones do not even give you a real cup), I went here.

Ordering was a bit complicated. I just wanted a basic classic hot chocolate with cream to stay. The woman did not manage to put that in the till, wanted to charge me extra for cream etc. In the end they had no cup in that size left but offered me a free upgrade. That was nice.

Getting a place is not easy. It can be quite busy. It is not really clean as not enough staff was around to clean the tables.

If you're desperate for a Starbucks and you're in the area, go there. If not, go to one of the nicer places around such as Flatplanet (just around the corner), Monmouth Coffee in Seven Dials or the Society Club in Soho.

Placing a starbucks in Soho is a crime. Along with that, all the soho starbucks’ are crummy anyway, so they all get this review:
