Review of Starbucks Coffee from 17 August 2009

Reasons why this branch of Starbucks sucks:

1. It’s opposite the tourist magnet that is the British Museum, so there’s always a queue.

2. The woman serving me was surly, slow and gave me a weird look when I asked for a bag (I was buying a salad, therefore I needed a bag).

3. They were out of plastic forks so I was given a spoon instead. I had to eat my chicken salad with a plastic spoon. Ever tried carving a piece of chicken breast with a plastic spoon? It’s not fun.

4. It was way too warm in there.

If you must get a coffee or something to eat from that Starbucks then make it to go. Then eat in the British Museum garden directly opposite.

Review of Starbucks Coffee from 7 January 2009

As Starbuck’s go, this one is hard work. Really hard work. It’s right opposite the British Museum, which means that a speedy coffee fix isn’t going to happen when there are four groups of tourists in front of you. None of whom can decide what they want.

That, coupled with the fact that the service was really slow, meant that I’m not a big fan of the cafe. It fails more to location than anything else, but I think next time I’ll find somewhere else a little less busy.

Review of Starbucks Coffee from 24 November 2008

This is a really great starbucks! Fitted into a nice building, with interior decour that I quite like, along with the service, atmosphere and quality, this is one of the best starbucks’ I know.

All the drinks are brilliant here, as is the food. It’s all served to you by a brilliant kind staff too.

The atmosphere is great (quiet, cosy, nice music ect…) and its a perfect spot to sit down with a book, and spend a rainy afternoon.

The bathroom is always clean, and the staff don’t mind you using it without you being a customer!
