Ego Hair Design

Started to use Ego in August and Tammy  couldn't have been more welcoming, having a chat first to see what i actually wanted.  Really pleased with the result and is really easy to manage.  Would certainly recommend to anyone.

I'm sure you get reviews like this all the time but I just wanted to say how great Jennifer is. I had a hair disaster. I normally go to ego to have my hair done but my sister bought a package with a company in Glasgow to have photos taken with hair and makeup. This was a nightmare on the 1st day I had orange roots and blue hair this was after 5 hours in the hairdressers chair, when I returned the next day for 6 more hours to have my hair turned bright orange!! I had bleach on my head 3 times in 24 hours.

I quickly called ego on the Monday after this nightmare! Jennifer was not working so a message was left for her to call me which she did 1st thing on the Tuesday and an appointment was made for me on 26/7/12.

I just want to tell you that Jennifer as with all the team at ego are wonderful ! Jennifer did an amazing job and I am back to blonde and my hair feels great!
the service I get in ego has made me expect the best and going anywhere else is not an option! so although I now live in Fort William (what is 120ish mile round trip for great hair? :)) I will be making all my appointment with Ego!

I have been to Ego on three occassions and can't praise them highly enough.  My first visit was to have a 're-design' and the result was brilliant.  I had a new colour which really suited me, the style wasn't high maintenance because the cut was so good and I got so many compliments it was unbelievable!  so I was really excited to go back to have the same again a couple of months later.  Unfortunately the salon was very busy, the level of customer service were not as good and neither was my haircut. It wasn't awful by any means, just not up to the previous really high standard.  I was very disappointed but didn't say anything at the time.  After a week or so I decided to drop the salon an email and test their promise of 100% satisfaction guaranteed.  I  got a reply within a couple of hours, was booked in for a new appointment a few days later and had it done again for free.  The stylist was absolutely great about it, really apologetic and she didn't make me feel at all bad for complaining (I was nervous about going back as I wasn't sure how they would react to me) Once again, I loved my haircut.  I couldn't praise them highly enough for the way they have treated me or the new lease of life they've given my previously neglected hair.  I am going back again this afternoon and once again, am really looking forward to it!

I was absolutely delighted with the service I received recently at Ego Hair Design. I had my hair put up for a wedding and I loved it. Jennifer helped me create the style and made it look fab, plus it lasted all day!

I would definitely visit Ego Hair Design again on my next trip to Inverness :)

I highly recommend Ego Hair Design. I have visited the salon twice and I can only say that a five star service is received! All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is the first salon I have felt comfortable going into. I get my hair cut by Claire Marie and she is fantastic, listens to what I want and styles my hair to perfection! Their prices are very reasonable and with such a pleasant atmosphere how can I not go back. Looking forward to my next appointment already!!!

This is a great salon and I have been to a few in Inverness. The service is first class and the staff are very friendly. I have been going for a few years now and have told lots of people to go here. The prices are reasonable and it is convieniently situated near town. 5*!!

This is a really good hairdressers I’ve been going for a year now and I am always happy with the outcome when I go there. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. You deffinetly get what your paying for. I’ve had my hair done by nearly all of the different stylists are there al brilliant.

I’ve recommeneded Ego hair salon to family and friends and will keep doing so.

After trying many different hairdressers in Inverness and never getting a cut or colour I really liked for a reasonable price, I tried Ego Hair Design – ititially attracted by the much lower than average prices, I just wanted a decent cut. My stylist was Jennifer, a trainee at the time, but I loved with the result – she really listened to what I wanted and made her own suggestions, and I left feeling absolutely delighted – and got lots of compliments on it too! I always go back when I need my highlights done as I’ve never had a better colour anywhere else – dying my hair blonde, my hair used to be dry and the colour would often go brassy before my next colour was due. The colour used by Ego looked natural, kept my hair in top condition and did not fade at all, however long I left it. Although I have now moved to Edinburgh, I wait until I’m back in Inverness to get my hair done – I haven’t even found anywhere in Edinburgh that matched Ego Hair Design!

This salon is so good, that I travel from Stirling for an appointment. Always leave feeling really good, with gorgeous hair. The staff really know how to make you feel special and offer brilliant discounts and offers too. It is also really reasonably priced!

When I was pregnant with my baby girl Christina rose who is now twelve weeks old I didn’t feel comfortable getting my hair done coz I didn’t feel very comfortable in salons but a couples weeks after I gave birth I thought I’d try ego and its the best thing I ever did iv never felt more relaxed and appreciated while getting my hair done before the staff listen to everything you have to say and are very attentive iv never felt so happy with my hair till I started going to ego now I’m recommending all my mates to try them out too :) thank you ego you gave me my confidence back

When i was pregnant with my 1st child (who is now 8) i went for a haircut in a Salon and thought i would get a decent haircut, but when the hairdresser found out i was 1week away from my due date she couldnt get me out the door fast enough!! So for the last 8years i have tried a few different Salons all to be bitterly dissapointed!!
Then 1 day i looked throught the Yellow Pages and seen an advert for a Salon called ‘EGO HAIR DESIGN’ mmmm i thought ‘will i or wont i???’ After a wee debate with myself i decided to go for it!! And im sooo annoyed i didnt try this amazing Salon 8years AGO!!!!
I went in extremly nervous after many years of dissapointment and not happy with the state of my hair, from my first foot in the door i was welcomed and made to feel at home, First thought were ’ ok thats good wonder what the hairdresser will be like?’ Then i met Tammy and she made me feel so welcome listened to what I WANTED never once talked over me, but explained many different styles to me and gave me her honest opinion to what would suit me. So the cut begins and we talked colours and im feeling confident that im gonna have a really good cut. And i did i was that happy i booked there and then for my colour, which turned out to be great, again Tammy was brilliant reminding me about the vouchers i was given at my first appointment, making cups of tea, and the time just flew by..
I have told all my friends and family about the fantastic staff and services at Ego my only regret is that i didnt try them before and saved myself 8years of unhappiness with my hair!!!! Im so happy with the staff and services that i have booked my oldest daughter in for a fantastic haircut which im confident Tammy will do :-). Oh not forgetting at the same time im getting a colour conditioning treatment FREE woohoo. EGO have got a devoted client!!! or rather clients!!! with myself and my 2 daughters!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Made to feel welcome and pleased with results (have had it cut and coloured at Ego). I have only taken down one star as it is more than I have ever previously spent on my hair.

I have recently been to Claire at Ego and cannot recommend her enough. Fantastic advice and amazing cut and colour. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I am already booked for my next appointment and shall be booking myself in for xmas too before they are all booked up.

I booked the “Hollywood Queen” package Ego offers (you get about £270 of treatment, vouchers and stuff for £85). I hadn’t been to any hair salon in years, so I was quite nervous. Additionaly, I had tried to dye my very fine hair blonde from brown, and it had gone quite reddish (in a bad way) and was now in very poor condition.

I took a photo of a haircut I liked with me to the salon and explained what I wanted. I still insisted that I wanted my hair blonde, so the stylists at Ego set to work. Fortunately (I’ll explain why later on!) my hair just would not lighten enough on one side (I noticed it was the same side that wouldn’t lighten when I had initally tried to blonde it at home, no idea why!). They tried everything, stronger lightener, heating it etc. but it just wouldn’t go. The staff were really attentive, and were very sorry it wasn’t going to work in one go.

Having seen how much the lighter hair colour really didn’t suit me, I was really glad when I was given the option to pick a new, darker colour. Joe listened to what I wanted, then suggested a beautiful violet that complimented my skin tone. After my hair had been dyed violet, one of the girls gave me an intensive conditioning treatment for free, as it was my first time at the salon.

Then Joe set about cutting my hair, based on the photo I had taken with me. I was really impressed with the stylish cut, and the condition of my hair afterwards. It really suited me, and I couldn’t believe that my frizzy, broken, reddy-orange hair had been transformed into something so lovely!
I came to the salon at 2.15 and was there past closing, the staff were so dedicated to getting my hair perfect!
On leaving, because I had opted for the “Hollywood Queen” package, I was given a goody bag with free salon shampoo and conditioner to suit my hair and lots of vouchers.

To conclude, I think that £85 was cheap for the service, time and effort (plus goodies!) I recieved. Plus, I DID get tea (and a biscuit!), and would recommend Ego to anyone that wants a lovely haircut, but is scared of taking the plunge! Everyone at Ego was lovely; I wish I could remember all their names!

Oh, and all my family love my completely new hair too!

I have been using Ego for coming up two years now. The service in the Salon is the best I have ever received anywhere, they are so friendly, and its such a nice atmosphere, drinks are always offered, they make the point of chatting to you, and not just the usual standard hair dresser chat. I also used them for my bridal party wedding hair in August 2010 and this was done at my home. Vanessa turned up bang on time, everything went smoothly and was very happy with the results.

I would recommend to anyone who is wanting to try a new hair dressers to go to Ego. They have loads of special offers, and again service fantastic, well done girls/boys be back very soon :-)
