My favourite place in central Bristol.

It's a bit on the pricey side but the drinks selection is excellent. The food is good and priced much better than the drinks (I go for the club sandwich).

On weekends, unless there's a game on, it's really quiet so I tend to bowl up with my laptop, make use of their free wifi and spend an afternoon on one of their couches.

I'm not that antisocial during the week, of course, and Hort's makes a great after-work drinks spot.

I loved it, the perfect pub for me. They have a good range of real ales. Was there on a Saturday afternoon, they were showing the Guinness Premiership final and there was a good rugby crowd there with a great atmosphere.

A nice enough venue for a relatively quiet drink, but lacking in atmosphere and character. The drinks are a little on the expensive side, but they do have a very good range. Two pool tables here, both charging £1.50 per game, which to me is over priced. The food is very good, but still slightly overpriced in my opinion. If you have lots of money, then it’s a great place to get away from the huge crowds of other pubs, but not worth it if you are stingy!

This large Youngs pub had a major refurbishment 18 months ago and as a result it’s lost all it’s soul.

It still sells a great range of drinks but the prices are steep so not many people stick around for more than the one.

Perhaps if they were a bit more competitive on price they’d be a bit busier, but as it is, it feels more like you’re entering a show home that you’re not allowed to make your own.
