Review of Serendipity 3 from 10 February 2011

I came here on the recommendation of a friend who'd studied in Columbia. I really adored the decor of Serendipity 3, especially the Tiffany lamps.

The portions were huge and I ended up asking them to pack half my salad in a box so I could take it away. I still managed to find some space to try their legendary frozen hot chocolate, which, I'm pleased to say, can now be purchased from Selfridges Food Hall in London. I can't quite remember how it tasted, but I'm pretty sure it was pretty damn good.

Review of Serendipity 3 from 9 October 2010

I was here before it was made into a movie.
It wasnt that many people before but after the movie, it was almost impossible to get in here without the line.

I love the classic frozen hot chocolate and angel hair pasta.
Its a great place to go as a couple. really cute romantic place.

Review of Serendipity 3 from 26 January 2009

One of the most famous places to go for dessert in new York. Worth trying once, especially for their frozen hot chocolate. Bot way too over-priced to make a habit of it.

A dessert place that also offers normal meals, if you’re craving a giant “frozen” hot chocolate drink Serendipity3 is where you need to be.

The restaurant is not huge. In fact its rather cosy and as a result is very charming. Its decorated in a totally funky way with all sorts of things hanging about (including all sorts of funny things for sale near the front door.)

For those with money to spare you can even have a $1,000 sunday. I only had room for a hot chocolate but many of the sundaes looked to die for. Can’t wait to go back and try a few of them out!

Review of Serendipity 3 from 25 November 2008

As seen in the film of the same name, Serendipity is a great unique place to go when in New York.

As you enter the cafe, there is a shop which sells all kinds of weird, wonderful and quirky gifts and recipe books. The cafe itself is full of quaint tables and some very unusual decor. Looking like a mad hatter’s tea party, its definitely worth a visit!

It’s most famous for its large frozen hot chocolates which are amazing! I ordered one and it was just too much for one person! It’s like a liquified chocolate brownie and I would recommend it to any chocolate lovers out there!

Shop at Bloomingdales in the morning and have a rest here in the afternoon
