used to be good , not so anymore

the food is average at best , massive amounts are cooked up for opening time then kept warm all day, small portions comapred to the other chipshop in town

worst issue is the customer service , you have to shout your order accross a busy shop , then repeat it , then again , then once you get home the order is wrong , also the family member (son?) is more intrested in acting like a fool and joking around than serving customers

This establishment appears stuck in a time warp. Years ago Bennys was numero uno. Others have since overtaken and are far supoerior to this chippy.Standards have dropped recently. Feel Benny needs to take a step back and re evaluate the shop . The shop is in the main high street. No legal parking facilities outside during the day. Town car park within easy reach.

This has got to be the very best chippy in town.

Benny’s is well known and has been established in the town for a long time.

There is always a large group of staff working who work their socks off as the chippy is continually busy which is a little annoying especially if you are hoping just to run in and out with a bag of chips but these things can’t be rushed and it is well worth waiting for.

Serve a selection of chips, potatoes, kebabs, pies, pancake rolls, drinks etc.

Not open on a Sunday & Monday but open every other lunchtime and evening, all day on Fri and Sat I do believe.

Difficult to park outside really as it is on the main High St which is no access road of a day and in the evening you can pass but it is double yellows so you shouldn’t really stop there. There are a few car parks nearby though so not too difficult.
