Fitness First Clubs

Fitness First in Bath is a Platinum gym and when opened was the new “flagship” gym of the country…….don’t believe the hype. Good points are that it has a swimming pool, there are a lot of cardio machines and the free weights section is large and varied. They do plenty of different classes and have a spinning studio and a yoga/pilates studio as well as a studio for other classes. The changing rooms are ok, lots of lockers but not much bench space and the showers are ok – it’s pretty much clean and decent. Bad points are that they get really really busy – often you can’t get a machine especially weights machines where they only have one of each. Also, the trainers aren’t that helpful unless you book a session one on one, also they had damp which makes it look a bit shabby. No parking either, and unless you can get corporate membership it’s overpriced and you can get better in the area for your money.
