A wonderful place: excellent for coffee or tea, a snack or a full meal. Much of the ingredients is organic or local. The food tastes great, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

This is a great little restaurant just up the Cowley Road from the Plain. We discovered it too late because now our regular visits to Oxford have stopped, although I feel confident that we will be going back some time.
The place is affordable to students (well, probably, although it’s some time since I was an undergraduate), but is something a bit superior to basic pub grub of the sort you would get in a Wetherspoons.
The cuisine is fairly eclectic but unless you are very fussy I’m sure you’ll find something to your taste.

Door 64 is the sort of cafe/restaurant that should be out in the countryside somewhere. It’s really hard to tell what sort of food it does from outside, but I promise you it’s a pleasant surprise inside. They specialise in using local, organic produce so you’re helping the local area while enjoying your scrumptious meal. Always a bonus.
The weekend brunch is perhaps the most famous item, but they serve throughout the day, ranging from cafe-style drinks and snacks to full meals. Full brunch (well, it’s a traditional breakfast, really) is £6.25, but it’s worth trying some more unusual delicacies, such as their sweetcorn fritters or bubble and squeak potato cake. Okay, maybe the breakfast does sound more tempting, but expand your horizons a little!
Restaurant dishes are all very healthy and range in price from around £4 for soup to £15 for the most expensive meat dishes. It’s worth looking at the blackboards for seasonal specialities.
Finally, it says it does 'contemporary British cuisine’. I’d say it’s more contintenal/British - it’s a got a good mix of different tastes and cultures.
