This is a superb deli, tucked away down a side road in Saffron Walden.
Here you will be able to purchase the most amazing produce, from store cupboard staples of the upmarket variety, to organic veg (locally grown of course) to amazing, wonderfully sourced cheeses.
The owners are incredibly friendly and cook a range of foods themselves which are available to take away (the pasta salad is to die for!)
Pay a visit, buy some picnic food and take it to the nearby Audley End and you will have the perfect day out!
Sceptred Isle is a lovely little delicatessen, full of delicious goodies from around Europe, with a focus on local foods. This includes wonderful handmade choclates, beers from the local breweries, and a range of Neal’s Yard Dairy cheeses.
The owners also cook a range of foods each day, and their tarts and flans are pure heaven. They’re also extremely friendly. Taste a little cheese while you’re in there!
