Tynemouth Longsands

Super sweet beach great surf great fir kids and great bars near by.

What can I say, Tynemouth long sands is a premier sandy beach and is has a ever changing scene throughout the year. Perfect for all types of water sports from paddling to surfing and canoeing. The beach itself is maintained well, in the summer where the sand is raked and clean by the local authorities. From a Photography point of view the sunrises can provide the best shots especially if you choose a morning when the surfers are up and about. Love this beach a lot because it has everyhting all year round summer sunbathing, winter strolls and is in easy reach of a good public house, the Grand hotel and a Sea life centre (Blue Reef Aquarium) on days when the weather doesn't want you to stay dry.

Tynemouth longsands,It’s my most favourite beach ever.
It is a long beach and the sand is realy soft and clean.It does’nt matter what time of year you can walk along the beach and it’s lovely.There are a lot of surfers these days which adds character to the place.In the summer if the weathers good get there early as it’s busy.
There are lifeguards and the views across the water are wonderful.
Great for young and old alike.

This is a great beach in the summer plenty of soft sand for the kids to play in and it is a nice tidy beach without lots of rubish lying around. There are some great chip shops near the beach. Not a great place to go at the time of year as the sea gets really rough there are some fab waves for the surfers right now but it is way to cold for them though there is a yearly major surf contese here which is fun to go and watch

Tynemouth Longsands is a beautiful expance of golden sand, it a great place to surf, walk your dogs (except summer season) and relax.

Tynemouth Longsands beach is one of the best beaches I’ve been to. It is quite large and is always well maintained. The sand is clean and litter is always kept to a minimum as there are plenty of litter bins provided and the lifeguards are regularly tidying up. Plenty of lifeguards are on duty during the summer months so that helps give a safer feeling to it. This beach is really popular with surfers and regularly hosts competitions and it is also plays host to the Newcastle Falcons Rugby team to do some training. The views off the beach are brilliant, especially of Tynemouth Priory, the area has such a rich history! There is a fatastic café on the beach called Crusoes – they do a mean bacon sandwich! Well worth a visit here, be warned it does get busy in the summer!
