Dragon Pearl, Frome

We had a fantastic meal here. Very Chinese, friendly staff and lovely surroundings. Family run. It is tucked up a side street so not the easiest to find, but well worth looking for. We will be going again very soon.

This has only been open for a year or two but recieved excellent reviews right from the start.

Situated above the big Bar 11 complex on Palmer Street (just off Bath Street) you can browse the extensive menu from street level before climbing a couple of flights of stairs (to help you work up an appetite!) to the main restaurant area.

I’ve only been in there for a take-away so can’t comment on the service in the restaurant. However I can say it’s smartly decorated chinoiserie themed, and the waiting area for take-aways is the same as for in-house tables - very comfortable and luxurious.

Prices aren’t cheap, and there’s a bit of a wait for the food to be prepared but the quality is very superior and the portion sizes are good.

The sort of place you’d go for a treat!
