Good value, unassuming place. we had intended to just have a plate of pasta, but ended up having a starter. The deep fried brie with pear was particularly nice. Quite large portions and fairly priced. The pasta was well cooked, and although I thought the portion looked on the small side, in fact I did not want any more when I finished.
It was quite quiet, and lacking a little in atmosphere, but then it was early on a Monday evening, so that is hardly surprising. I would certainly recommend it, and will certainly go back.

I really agree with the last review.
I wouldnt normally have though to come in here but a sudden blood sugar crash on my way to see ‘me old mate’ at JB Carpets saw me rushing in.
I was immediatly struck by the chirpy happy stance of the staff and the food and prices were all reasonable.
Nowt wrong here and great for a good old chicken mayo sandwich and a big fat doughnut!

Lovely little place and so unassuming! Amici is the type or restaurant you might pass by a thousand times without ever thinking to visit, and indeed I managed this for the whole of the two years I lived in Holloway Road. But I was taken in on a recent jaunt round my old stomping ground and realised I had missed a treat.
There's nothing remotely pretentious about the food, staff or the setting, and I think this works in Amici's favour. It's just good honest Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Plenty for a veggie like me, and very friendly and helpful service. will go back.

Been there many times, mainly for a pizza and a few beers. Good deals, prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. I suggest to try the spicy pizza, and ask for some extra chilli oil, which comes in the typical bottle. Have at least two or three peroni beers, and never refuse a lemon liqueur on the house before heading out.

Its cheap, and its filling! They serve mainly Italian food. I had the pizza when I was there and it was just like a Pizza Express or ASK one. The staff are friendly, and the only fault is that its in a bit of a shabby high street (but safe).
The owner has also branched out into cafes, opening the Amici cafe and deli just a few doors down, and another branch opposite Highbury & Islington station.
A worthwhile place for anyone living nearby to go to for a quick meal!

Amici is my regular stop when going to the nearby Odeon cinema on Holloway Road. It is the only upmarket place in that whole area. It really stands out from the rest of the cafes and restaurants nearby.
Amici is a delightful Italian deli/coffee shop, that has been going strong for many years. Inside, the decor is bright and sunny, but tastefully done. There are a few tables at the front of the shop where you can sit down and relax with your tea, coffee and food. And what glorious food too.
An Italian deli this well stocked is hard to find. There are so many food items imported from Italy, that it’s hard to select.
For lovers of Italian food in the neighbourhood, this must be a regular stop. I love ordering a freshly made sandwich and a glass of juice. You can choose from many types of bread and cheeses, salamis and other fillings at the deli counter. They will be happy to make a sandwich with the ingredients of your choice.
Coffee and cakes are wonderful too, so if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll definitely be happy here.
The prices are very reasonable. This is a place I keep coming back to, always discovering something new on offer.
