Une belle place à l’été ! Avec le nouveau skate park ses grands !
Bbqs on the green - April 18th 2010 was a beautiful sunny Sunday but was ruined by the large number of thoughtless people who were using disposable Bbqs on this precious green .Apart from the choking smoke they left nasty black marks on the grass so by the end of the summer this area should be renamed Jesus black !Shame on you thoughtless people .

Be careful if you go after dark ( or even not ) there have been a number of nasty robberies on the green and its exits. Elderly people who live near by, have been victims in the evenings too, so you know what sort of low life slinks around here sometimes, otherwise enjoy responsibly!

Linked to the Bridge St end of the city centre by a slatted wooden walkway directly over the river (which is exciting enough in itself), Jesus Green has tennis courts, the river, a good children's playpark with equipment for both older and younger children, an ice-cream stand (which can be a good thing or a bad, depending on your view), open air swimming pool, lock a skating park and plenty of open space for walking or picnicking.

Jesus green in the heart of Cambridge is not as advertised as Midsummer common but in my eyes it is far far better. The green really has something for everyone, form young to old, including such things as a traditional band stand which during the summer months hosts many brass bands and smaller string quartets. For the young there is a very well made skate park and play area for the very small, surrounded by a fence to top them wondering off. There is also a fully working manned loch which is a great way to while away an afternoon. Great for summer strolls and brisk winter walks.
