And I did, it was still as good, and I will be there again later this week1

I noticed this place on my way to collect my daughter from Exeter Uni, and decided to try it later that day.
I am so pleased I did!
My daughter had her usual bland Korma, and I had my all time favourite, Lamb Bhuna (Bhuna Ghosht) ordered as I always do, with extra dhaniya (coriander) and rather hot.
The taste was on par with the best I have ever had, many places not being able to get the correct consistency, and being bland too, not at The Ghandi, it was superb.
Contemporary decor, and attentive waiters combine to make this a "must visit at least once" status.
I will definitely return when in Exeter again.

I used the restaurant on a short stop over with 2 colleagues. The service was average to slow, but the place was moderately busy for a Monday night. The menu was fairly typical and the food was reasonable for quality we had no complaints, but I don't feel it warrants more than an average rating.

This has always been my favourite curry house in Exeter. The quality of the food, the service, the beer, the decor, all first class. The variety of curries and nan breads has always been top notch. I was very disappointed to hear that the place has just been raided, and since 6 staff were taken (including one that has already been sent back to Pakistan), I worry that the place will never be the same again. I hope that the place can find new cooking staff quickly, and maintain their excellent reputation that has obviously taken a massive blow through the recent scandal.
