I've stayed there twice; the first time was in 2003 on a brief trip to London (before I settle there) and then again in 2008.
I have to say that my experience on the first trip was much better.
The location is superb. I used to use the tube from Kilburn station from where I could reach anywhere in London.
The first time I stayed there, the room was clean. It wasn't en-suite so I had to use the bathroom which I recall was OK.
The second time was last year when I booked an en-suite. The bed sheets weren't so clean and so was the carpet. I found hard time to close the window.
The bathroom was dirty, I could see mould growing in the tub and the sink.
I'd rather pay a bit more to get a cleaner place
I went to this hotel last October. I stayed there overnight. I booked the room a week in advance. It was for £60 for a double bedroom with ensuite.
The location is excellent if your going to london via the M1 motorway. It has got limited parking sapces which are on first come first served basis. The tube station is about ten minutes walking distance. The room tempratue was ok.
The room was tidy and the bed was freshly clean. The washing basin was in the room. The bathroom was ok, but, the extractor fan was not working. The over head lamp was tempremental, simpley becayse the wire connetions to the back of the electric switch was loose!!!
The remote control for the tv was a universal one that didn’t work. There was a label on the tv with a odel and a number ( I think they were expecting us to programme the tv remote control for them!lol)
The breakfast was ok and the dining room was bright and plaeasnatly clean.
Overall, a good place to stay for a night or two, especially if you have got a car.
