Really nice pub in a quiet neighborhood between Kensington High Street and Gloucester Road. It’s comfy inside, with a choice of tables and one or two sofas. Lots of choice on tap, including a couple of ciders. For food, the mains are all quite good, though the appetizer/snacks can be a bit on the skimpy side.

The service was a bit slow once when we were in because of some problems with the kitchen, apparently. I saw the bar staff chew out the cook, and at least one customer asked for their money back. I’ve been three other times, though, and had no problems; in fact, the last time the service was very attentive.

You can book a spot to watch their free movies on Sunday nights in an upstairs room. As if you needed another excuse to go to the pub.

There are some nice benches outside. It’s a great place to people-watch.

Excellent friendly pub in just behind High Street Kensington station, but far enough behind it that it's a bit of a 'hidden gem'. Saturday night featured Landlord, Deuchers and Swing Low on tap, plus a wide range of continental lagers and some excellent wine. I had a few tasty bar snacks, the wedges in particular were great, but for some reason best known to myself didn't get an amazing looking burger.

There's a heated smoking area outside and plenty of comfy seating and mood lighting on the inside. And I'd been here before...

Ahhh, one of the best bloody marys of London. All the spices you need and other stuff as well if you have got something against tomato juice. They have a nice selection of wine and beers and nice sofas to sit on and relax. The pub is not very big as half of it is used to serve food but there is a nice and chilled atmosphere, which may tend to be a bit posh sometimes (after all you are in Chelsea) but it is always nice to go and sit near the fireplace.
They also have a small area outside for smokers and it is very nice in the summer.
The only problem I can see is that it is more of a local pub than somewhere you would travel for as it is quite far from any tube station. But it is worth walking a little bit further...

The Builders Arms is so far the best pub I've yet been able to find in Kensington and Chelsea.

It's tucked away in an astonishingly quiet neighbourhood between Gloucester Road and Kensington High Street so it's often remarkably quiet. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable, there is great lighting and very comfortable seating. There is a very broad selection of beers and ciders, including lagers, belgian witbiers, german weissbiers, bitters and ales.

Not a cheap pub by any stretch of the imagination but nevertheless the prices compare favourably to those of most other pubs in the borough. Having a few pints there this is worth the money, which is more than can be said for most other nearby pubs. A Hoegaarden and a Jack and Coke came to £6.85 the last time I was there. This is somewhat at odds with my student budget but I'm never short of excuses to go back there! The bar staff will quickly begin to recognise a familiar face and get to know you.

The food is fairly well priced and of a good standard, especially the £5 full English (excellent for a Sunday morning hangover).

If you want to avoid the more-affluent suit-wearing wine-drinking sort of punter, get there before 9pm on a weekday and you'll feel like you've discovered something special.

This is a brilliant place to have a quiet drink or meal. The food is proper comfort food, perfect on a cold day. the beer selection is wide, the bar staff are chatty and the general atmosphere is nice. It is filled with young people which gives it a trendy vibe but is not overtaken by loud and annoying teenagers. Great place to enjoy a comfortable evening with some friends and feel right at home!

This is one of the most laid back "urban" (in terms of location) pubs I've ever been to. Despite being in a very affluent part of the city, you never feel excluded or an outcast. Both the staff and the patrons were all smiles and eager to crack jokes. The food was good and served in a timely manner. It had a diverse menu without excluding the pub classics. Great beer and pretty reasonable prices.

A lovely little pub. A great place for lunches and they have a good selection of beers (lots of organic ones too). Friendly bar staff, film nights and in a pretty part of town make it worth a trip.

Great Pub.

Nice lagers on tap (not too many bitters though). The food is really good(particularly the Quesidilla platter). I love going to the Builders Arms on a Sunday afternoon and feeling sorry for myself because everyone who lives in this neighbourhood makes way more money than i do!

Estonian barman "Sanders" adds a particular charm to this place with his "hazy" service. Not the greatest bartender in the world but his stoner idiosyncrasies will make you giggle.
