I've only been here for Karaoke, food is average, I would go and eat in china town before coming here for Karaoke, that's what my friends and I tend to do.
If you want a place for a cheap karaoke night then this is one of the places to go.
From my last visit it was about £10 a head which included some snacks and about 2 hours of karaoke (i think) but it did not include drinks which are ordered at the bar.
Depending on which room you are given as there are several rooms in this place and it depends on the size of your group, you will be either allowed to choose your own songs from a PC that is set up. You just drag the songs onto winamp to play it.. not the greatest app to use as we found you can easily move the music files around which most probably messes up their system. Else if you are in the basement then you write the code for the songs on some paper and pass it to the staff controlling the karaoke machine.
May not be the greatest place to go for karaoke but we have always found it the cheapest one.
Not the greatest Chinese restaurant in central London, but it did the job last night. Moments from The Old Coffee House (one of my favourite pubs in London), Gallery Rendezvous (sounds a bit like a strip club doesn't it?) is known for its Pekenise cuisine and Karaoke nights. The food was good and i can definitely recommend the pork dumpling starters and the beef and cashew nuts.
If you're looking for a top notch chinese then you're best off heading into chinatown. But, if it's raining and you just want a quick meal near some good pubs. This is the place.
This is a review of their Karaoke rooms. I’ve been to a few private karaoke parties and this was by far the worst. The rooms were quite nice and drinks pretty cheap but the equipment was budget. Their karaoke machines are just two Windows PCs running Winamp and to add songs to the playlist you have to look through a folder with all the song names and corresponding file number. Once you’ve located the file you want on the desktop you have to drag and drop it into Winamp. Double click the file and you’ve lost your playlist, which you’ve spent ages compiling. That annoyance coupled with the fact the computer in the bigger room kept crashing and deleting our playlist, meant that we lost our tracks 5 times, by which point you just want to give up. The selection of the songs was very poor – mostly just really old pop songs. The videos were comical, mainly people from the 90s doing things like playing basketball or walking down a street in Switzerland. Oh and of course most of the lyrics were wrong. “Kiss from a rose on a grey” apparently.
After much complaining we got 30 minutes taken off our bill and some free wine and beer. I certainly wouldn’t go back. If you want good Karaoke, go to Lucky Voice or K-box.
