Had the London Lager here, which is alright as all the other beer options were things I've had time and time again.
Garden out front by main road and a massive one out back. A bit gastro.
The pity for Young's is it could make far more money if it served the drinks that people would consume if it didn't take hours to get them. Mind you, the Halfway House up the road is even worse - probably because its bar is tiny tiny.
Bar staff need to be trained to up their productivity and rewarded if they do. Simple.

This is my local and i go often... but theyre not good. Food is massively overated and absurdly overpriced. The staff are always nagging you to leave at 1059 and gemerally a disappointing corporate approach to a pub. Best things are its round the corner and has the best garden i know round here. Few places beat it on a sunny Saturday.

I went attracted by their recent beer festival, having seen an ad for it. Unfortunately, the beer festival seemed to be little more than their usual Wells & Young beers, plus 3 other choices, which weren't especially imaginative (Tim Taylor Landlord, and Jennings Cumberland, for example). The other major downside was that come 1pm the room I was in became baby buggy central, which isn't ideal if you're trying to have a nice quiet drink. That said, the food was good, the beers were in reasonable condition, and if you're in the area, it's a perfectly OK pub. not one to make a detour to visit though.

Had a New Year's eve dinner here and it had a Masquerade theme so most of the guests were partly concealed. It had a very lively athmosphere and was very well organised. The food was a mixed review. My main of monkfish was really good but the people who choose beef wellington were dissapointed as the beef was overcooked and the filling was not very tasty. The drinks were overpriced but it was New Years eve so thats to be expected. The fireworks in the rear car park got going at midnight and we all had a great evening.

This place is a summer bar, it has a lovely garden for you to drink in. Big table for you to sit all you friends on, it you got some. Not to sure about the food as I have not eaten here but the same people seem to keep coming back and eating. So for this I will award this place 3 &1/5 stars. Now there us a problem, I can not do this so I will bump them up a bit.
