It looks nice from the outside, very yummy actually but when you check the price, you turn on your heels and go

I know that Patisserie Valerie has amazing cakes, pastries and coffee. I know that they pile their sandwiches high and the orange juice is sweet and fresh. But if you tell a customer that you are going to to serve him and then choose to ignore said customer for 20mins in a nearly empty cafe, you score 1 star. There is no question in my mind that the food is delicious here. The service in my experience though, is laughable….

My favourite Patisserie Valerie. It’s great for people watching. Really great. It’s got all the posh people to nose on and they’re are lots of fun.

The waiters make me laugh here. They take thier job very seriously which is really lovely. The guys here now how much work goes into the cakes and they like their jobs. That makes me happy. The service is better in here than any other branch in town.

Now, onto that cake. Wow. I could live in here. I’d be fat, but I could live in here. I love their cakes so much and their hot chocolate is soooooo yummy. It makes me happy being in here. I sit by the window and read books and imagine what it would be like to have lots of money and only have to worry about what cake I should buy.

But I’m also pretty happy to scrabble around in small change to pay for my second piece of cake too.

I do love the smaller cakes in this place, the savoury dishes (including the breakfast) are rather pricey for what they are though

Situated on the corner of Piccadilly and St James's Street, close to the Ritz, this is one of the newest and most upmarket of the Patisserie Valerie chain.

The usual staples (coffee, cakes and pastries) are as tempting as ever, and they also serve a range of sandwiches, snacks and breakfast. A little less busy, and has more consistent service, than the Soho branch.
